Obituary: Bonita Louise VonAchen Robertson passed away peacefully in her home on 9, 2007. She was born on 28, 1942 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas to Ben and Icy VonAchen. She married Jack Robertson, of Spanish Fork, on 11, 1962. Bonnie, a Registered Nurse, graduated from Weber School in 1977. She spent her career working at Mountain View Hospital, first as an LPN and then as an RN for a span of 34 years. She is survived by her husband, Jack; son, Richard C.; special friend and daughter-in-law, Paulette; and grandchildren, Kelsey Lucille, Korrine Louise, and Kyler Jack; and mother, Icy and her husband, Bill. She is also survived by her siblings, Don and Lyn VonAchen; Shirley and Kurt Judd; Doug and Theresa Mackay; Donal and Maggie VonAchen; sister-in-law, Deni and CJ Thompson; brother-in-law, Larry and Myrna Robertson; as well as many nieces and nephews; and her honorary sister, Lonnie and Richard Morgan. A viewing will be held on evening, 13, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork. Memorial services will be held , 14, 2007 at 11:00a.m. at the Payson 7th Ward Chapel, 1128 East 100 South, Payson, Utah (directly behind Mountain View Hospital), with a viewing at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be held in the Spanish Fork . The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. William E. LeRoy, Payson; Dr. Steven L. Wallentine, Provo; and the Vista Hospice nurses. |

Obituary: WILFRED ROBERTS: 21, 1919 - 4, 2015 Wilfred Roberts was born in 1919 in York, England the youngest son of Ethel and John Wilson Roberts. He died on 4th in Alamo, California, the last survivor of that family era. He is survived by a daughter Valerie (Lett), sons Neil, Christopher and Glyn, grandchildren Nicholas, Philip, Vanessa, Derek, Braxton and 6 great-grandchildren. Wilf served with distinction in the British Royal Navy during WWII as a leading torpedo-man on various ships including the destroyer HMS Keppel escorting supply ships in the Atlantic and the North Sea and embarking on the 6000 mile convoy from Norway to Russia. The three loves of his life during these years were Skippy (the former Daisy OGorman soon to become our Mum), soccer (inside right), and singing with his band The Blue Aces ( the crooner) . the end of the war Dad worked for the famous chocolate factory in York, England (think Kit Kat).It was there in England that our parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The York branch started in our small home and Dad was called to be Branch President shepherding it through those early years until the branch moved into a beautiful new chapel. In 1965 the family moved to Sandy, Utah. various jobs Dad graduated from Barber to support his wife and three sons. During this time of being a devoted father he also faithfully fulfilled his church callings and coached youth soccer. Even after retirement he was called back into coaching in California and in Hawaii while living with his daughter and son-in-law. He was greatly loved as Coach Roberts with liberal use of the magic sponge (a wet sponge quickly applied to any minor injury with the injunction to get back in there lad and show them what youve got). In 2011 after the death of his beloved wife, he moved permanently to California. Dad was active and cheerful to the end, walking around the deck and performing many knees up Mother Browns and ever the avid football fan of Manchester United, BBC comedies and Lawrence Welk. He remained an active member of the Groveland Branch delivering a Sacrament talk just a month ago. He was the perfect partner with our Heavenly Father as husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a great example of the gentle temper of our Savior with ill will towards no man. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Revelations 21:4 |
