Obituary: Cecil E. Rotto, 91, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away peacefully on May 21, 2015 at Silverado Senior Living. Cecil was born 28, 1923 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to Julius and Ethel Leona (Taylor) Rotto. In his early years, he served in the Canadian Air Force. In 1960, he met and married Shirley Stenna Rotto in Edmonton, Canada. were married for 41 years until Stennas passing in 2001. Cecil retired in 1986 as a Communications Analyst with Gulf Oil / Chevron after 31 years of service. He experienced work assignments in Venezuela, S.A. and Houston, TX. Cecil and Stenna worshipped at Sharpstown Church of Christ with their final congregational home being Woodland Oaks Church of Christ, The Woodlands, TX. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law Candy & Jay Read of Magnolia, TX; son & daughter-in-law Bryan & Kimberly Rotto of Allen, TX; and son Brent Rotto of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held , May 23, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Forest Park The Woodlands 18000 Interstate 45 North, The Woodlands, TX 77384. Interment will be held at a later date at Cook-Walden , 14501 Interstate 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Obituary: Alma Marie Rottmann 85, of Vancouver, Washington, died 12 at Fort Vancouver, Memory . Memorial Service will be held at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 16, 2015 at 3:00 PM. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on , 20th at Cook-Walden . A Service and burial will be in Austin, Texas, , 21, 10:00 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Alma was born 7, 1930 in Port Arthur, Texas, to Henry and Emma Wehmeyer. In 1951 Alma graduated from St. Johns Lutheran , Winfield, Kansas with a teaching degree. Prior to her marriage to Ronald J. Rottmann in 1953, Alma taught in a Lutheran School in Brownsville, Texas. Subsequently she taught in both Lutheran and public schools wherever Ron, who served in the Air Force, was stationed. Alma was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She witnessed her faith through her faithful attendance and support of the local Lutheran church wherever she lived. She enjoyed singing in church choirs, attending meetings of the Lutheran Womens Missionary League, visited the sick and shut-in, and provided support for the activities of the youth. Alma is survived by her two children, Gary (Betsy) Rottmann of Edmond, OK. and Ronelle (Tony) Schultz of Battle Ground, WA., by five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jim and Henry, and four sisters, Gladys, Geraldine, Ruth and Ethel. Alma was preceded in death by her husband Ron, brother Eugene, and sister Dora. Alma was a devoted wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend and child of God. She was loved by all. Memorial donations can be made to the music ministry of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Battle Ground, WA. and/or the music ministry of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Austin, Texas. |
