Obituary: Jack Claire Roles, 86, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away , , 12, 2017. Jack was born to G. Claire Roles and Margaret Lucas in New Kensington, PA on 4, 1930. He was educated at the University of Maryland. Jack entered the U.S. Army in 1953 during the Vietnam conflict and rose to the rank of Lt. Col. He served in Europe as Chief of Mapping and Geodedic Studies, U.S. Army, Europe, representing the U.S. with NATO. Jack was Associate U.S. Army Engineer. He also served for a year with a group study on Life Under the Polar Ice Cap. Jack retired from the military in 1973 and served as Director of Operations for Industrial Water. He received an Honorary PhD Doctor of Safeguard Defense. Jack will forever live in the hearts of family and friends and will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family. He was a member of Lakewood United Church. He was a 32 ° Mason and served on multiple charity boards in El Paso. When he ultimately retired, he volunteered for seven years at Methodist Hospital. Left to cherish his memory, is Jacks affectionate wife Cecilia Odom Roles, daughters: Jackie Snyder, husband, Chris, Lisa Roles, Debra Yates, husband Fred, and Angel Amos, husband Jim. He will also be missed by his eight grandchildren, Amy Perry, Zane Snyder, Tessa Snyder, Lily Snyder, Christopher Amos, Cameron Amos, Skylar Simmons and Brandon Howell, and his great-grandchildren, Jack Perry, Wade Perry and Faith Amos. Obituary: Andrew Carl Roles, 29, of Austin passed away peacefully at home on 20, 2015 from complications of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Andrew was born in Nashua, NH on 6, 1985 and moved to Austin, TX from Hollis, NH at age 8. He attended Hollis Preschool, Hollis Elementary School, Laurel Mountain Elementary School, Canyon Vista Middle School and graduated from Westwood High School in 2004. He then graduated summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA from St. Edwards University in 2008, majoring in Finance. Andrew lived his life with dignity, drive and determination. Although he spent almost 20 years in a wheelchair, he never let his disability define him and excelled in his academic career. In the last year of his life, he fought to live. He was a strong supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association and volunteered for them. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Irene and Angelo Ferrara. He is survived by his parents, Rosemary and Roger Roles of Austin, TX; his sister Angela Jen and her husband Kane of Chandler, AZ; his fraternal grandparents Elva and Claribel Roles of Greenville, WV; and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Austin, Virginia, and New Jersey. The family would like to thank the ICU staff of North Austin Medical , Dr. Laura Gilbey, Dr. Vijay Porreddy, Dr. Stephanie Shaw, Dr. Stuart Rowe, Dr. Sami Aboumater, Dr. Karen Aquino, Dr. Adam Horvitt, Dr. Shaun Maloney, Dr. Kimberly Warfield and hospice nurse Connie Irons for their compassionate care of Andrew. Obituary: services for Victor Manuel Roldan-Carrero, 82, of Killeen will be at 10:00 a.m., , at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Vincent Chacko officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m., , with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers in Killeen. Victor died at the Va hospital on 18, 2011 after a long illness. He was born on 23, 1928 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Puerto Rico, Panama, Germany, World War II, and South Korea. VIctor was an original boriqueneer he served in the 65th Infranty regiment which was a unit beyond its time the first unit to be desegregated a unit composed of puerto ricans willing to sacrifice their lives even though they were unable to vote. VIctors awards include the Bronze Star, 2 Purple Hearts, the UN Service Medal, the Republic of South Korea Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, the Master Parachute Badge, and the Expert Riflemans Badge. While stationed at Camp Tortugero in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, he met Miss Blanca Huertas, who he married on 31, 1976 in New York City. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, Diego Roldan and Victoria Carrero, his brothers Luis and Diego Roldan, Jr., and his son David. He is survived by his wife Blanca of Killeen, their daughter Glenda of Austin, and 2 grandsons, Marcus and Franklin. Victor loved Latin Music. He played several percussion instruments and enjoyed playing, listening, and dancing Bolero and Salsa Music with his wife. At some time in his life, he organized several musical groups and was a DJ playing a variety of Latin music in the former KRMY Radio Station in Killeen. Because of his great love for music, he was widely known among his friends as El Caballero de la Salsa (the Gentleman of the Salsa Music). In addition to his love for Latin Music, he also was an active participant in the local activities of the local Hispanic Cultural Society, the Hispanic Catholic Society, and the Gilmore Senior . His significant contributions to these three organizations earned him numerous awards and certificates of appreciation from the City of Killeen, those civic groups, and Saint Joseph Catholic Church. for Mr. Roldan-Carrero are under the direction of Crawford-Bowers . He spent several years working in construction. He was a selfless man who always helped others and found value in being honest. Jacinto was very active; he worked in his garden and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed making people laugh. Jacinto was a very affectionate person. He was completely dedicated to his family. he retired he attended as many games that his grandchildren participated in as possible.
