Obituary: Mary Friedrich Rogers, age 78, passed away on , 18, 2005. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Wallace Rogers, Jr. and her parents, Ola and Milton A. Friedrich. A native of San Antonio, Mary graduated high school from Saint MaryÂs Hall and attended the University of Texas in Austin where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. Mary was a member of the Battle of Flowers Association, Monte Vista Garden Club, Junior League of San Antonio, Military Civilian Club, Veinte-Uno Investment Club, The Argyle Club and the San Antonio Country Club. Mary was the owner of The Buckhorn Saloon and Museum which was founded by her grandfather, Albert Friedrich in 1881. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mark Barrett of San Antonio; son and daughter-in-law, Happy and Elizabeth Rogers of San Antonio; grandchildren Charlotte Barrett, Marko Barrett, Emmy Rogers and Wallace Rogers, IV. Obituary: Mary Ann Rogers passed away on , 5, 2014. She was born on 20, 1927 in El Dorado, Arkansas to the late Eva and Charles Pearson. Mary was a stay at home mom for many years, she enjoyed crafts and gardening. Mary also enjoyed working at the Victoria Country Club tennis pro shop and volunteering for the American Red Cross. Mary was also the bingo"queen" of the nursing home. She is survived by her children, Gene F. Rogers, Jr. (wife, Linda), Frances Motal, Charles Butch Rogers (wife, R.J.), Mechelle Pozzi (husband, Michael), Debrah Donovan (husband, Ruben), and James David Jimmy Rogers (wife, Jeri). Jason (Caryn) Motal, Eric (Natalie) Motal, Chuck (Kena) Rogers, Shannon (Gabe) Ramirez, Amanda Rogers, Tiffany (Jeremy) Bateman, Stacey Wells, Nikki Wells, Bradley (Lauren) Pozzi, Justin (Jacqui) Rogers and Jared Rogers; and 21 great-grandchildren, Reagan, Ryan, Braden and Kinlea Rogers, Morgan and Amelia Motal; Kaylee and Natalee Rogers;Christian, Ashley, Emily and Madison Ramirez; Peyton Rogers; Madison Bateman, Andon Wells, Kai, Ashton, Hailey and Luke Wells; Avery and Brenner Pozzi. Obituary: MARY JEAN DAVIS ROGERS, born 13, 1913, in Goliad, Texas, was the second of five children born to Wayne Burke Davis, Sr. and Jean McCampbell Davis. She died peacefully, following a brief illness, on 17, 2005, in San Antonio, where she had lived since childhood. A graduate of the old Main Avenue High School and the University of Texas at Austin, she was a third-generation member of the First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio and a member of the Junior League of San Antonio, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the Battle of Flowers Association, Timely Topics Luncheon Club, the San Antonio Country Club and Club Giraud. She was a devoted supporter of Trinity University through its Associates program, the San Antonio Symphony, the San Antonio Museum of Art, McNay Art Museum, Witte Museum, the San Antonio Public Library Foundation, Sunshine Cottage, and many other charitable organizations. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Napier Rogers in 1973, with whom she "pioneered" the early residential development of Forest Oaks Subdivision and Shavano Park. Mrs. Rogers is survived by their three daughters, Jean Rogers Winchell of San Antonio; Letitia Rogers of Seattle, Washington, and Jacquelyn Rogers Goldman of Greenwich, Connecticut, as well as her son-in-law, Lawrence Goldman; her grandson, James E. McCutcheon III and his wife, Elizabeth Jean Lisa Cooper McCutcheon; her granddaughter, Alexandra Napier Goldman, great-grandchildren, Geoffrey Davis McCutcheon; Ashley Grace McCutcheon and Matthew Burke McCutcheon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, all of whom loved her and were dear to her heart. |

Obituary: Marjorie Rogers, 88, passed away in Austin, Texas on 2, 2014. She was born in 1926 in Kankakee, Illinois. She was a National Merit Scholar in high school and graduated from nursing school at Rush Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago. It was here where she met and fell in love with her husband of 55 years, Dr. Stanley Francis Rogers. Stanley completed residencies in Chicago and Boston and served in the U.S. Navy in the state of Washington, they created a home in Houston, Texas, where they raised their three children, Debbie, Patti and Rick. Stanley set up an obstetrics and gynecology medical practice while Marjorie quietly but tirelessly supported him. Her encouragement and love allowed Stanley to excel in his work and achieve his dreams, including being a founder of The Womans Hospital of Texas. Marjorie enjoyed homemaking and was very talented at both sewing and knitting; her stitches were perfection! Marjorie was also known for having the est-stocked pantry and fridge by her childrens Bellaire High School friends, something her grandchildren, Ledia, Mason, Sarah and Rebecca, would come to enjoy later on. Her grandchildren also fondly remember eating spaghetti dinners, playing cards, taking luxurious bubble baths in her tub and her magical Christmas celebrations. Marjorie was an avid reader and in her later years, she enjoyed watching baseball, something she had done growing up as a St. Louis Cardinal fan with her parents. Marjorie was predeceased by Stanley. She is survived by her daughter Debbie Carroll and her husband Mike Wilkes, daughter Patti Frank and her husband Dennis, and son, Rick Rogers and his wife Evelyn. Marjories grandchildren, Ledia, Mason, Sarah, Rebecca, Jeff, Wendy, Sam, and Walter, and her nine great grandchildren will miss her very much. A graveside memorial service will be held at Memorial Oaks at 10 a.m. on , 6, 2014.
