Obituary: Larry Alvin Robinson entered into eternal rest on the 28th day of , 2016 in the VA Community Living in Amarillo Texas at the age of 82. Larry was born in Denver, Colorado on 24th 1933, a son of the late Charles Robinson Sr and Mabel Robinson. A Staff Sergeant in the 6th Bomb Wing Field Maintenance Squadron, working as a mechanic on the B-52 bombers in the Korean War, Larry served our country in the US Air Force 10 years 2 months and 11 days spending the majority of his military career at Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico. He continued his career with the US Government by joining the United States Postal Service. The family moved to Denver in 1967 where Larry served as a computer programmer for the Bureau of Land Management at the Denver Federal until he retired in 1977. retiring, the family moved to Amarillo, Texas where he pursued farming and residential property rental business. With great mechanical abilities, Larry pursued his passion for restoring vintage automobiles. Except on 's of course, which he spent watching the Denver Broncos, his favorite sports team. Larry married Norma Ross on 30th 1961. Larry is survived by his loving wife Norma married 54 years, a son, Randall Robinson, 4 daughters Robbie Haroldson, Linda Rome, Misty Robinson and Stacy Robinson, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Charles Robinson Jr, and his brother's wife Latrice Robinson. The relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation today from 3 PM until 4 PM at Schooler , 4100 South Georgia and to the funeral service on , 1st at 11:00 AM at Schooler , Brentwood Chapel. Chaplain Chris Kutin will officiate. Larry's final resting place will be in Colorado, where his life began, at Crown Hill in Wheat Ridge on , 5th. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial donation can be made to the VA Community Living in Amarillo Texas. The excellent care provided by the facility, and the loving care of the nurses and physicians made each and every family member feel like part of their family. The family would like to thank each and every one who cared for Larry during his 10 year stay at the Living . |
