Obituary: Nettie Robertson Obituary Nettie Faye Robertson Jan. 1, 1930 -~ Aug. 19, 2016 Nettie Faye Storrs Robertson passed away at age 86 in Conroe Texas at her daughter and son-in-law's home 19th 2016. She lived a long and exciting life and was taken from us all too soon. We take great comfort that in her passing we know that she is watching over us from Heaven above. Nettie Robertson was born at home 1st 1930 in the small town of Bremond, Texas in a little community known as Petteway. She was born to Father Henry Tilton Cooper born May 31, 1903 and Mother Willie Mae Redden Cooper born May 20, 1910. Nettie was a member of the Church of Christ. Nettie was one of eight siblings. In birth order were Calvin, Ruth, Norman, Nettie, Melvin, Martha, Gene and Gracie. Nettie was preceded in death by her infant son of three days Mark Denson Storrs, brother Calvin Willie Cooper, father Henry Tilton Cooper, brother Morris Eugene Cooper, mother Willie Mae Cooper, husband Bill Denson Storrs, second husband Paul Ennis Robertson in 2012, brother Norman Edward Cooper. And her sister Ruth Bernice Brantner preceded Nettie's passing by just two days prior. In life Ruth was always a great older sister and we believe that God had it planned to have Ruth ready to take Nettie's hand and guide her home. Nettie is survived in death by brother James Melvin Cooper and wife Ann Cooper of Spring Texas, sister Martha Ann Braddick and husband Britt Braddick of Houston Texas, sister Gracie Marie Howell of Bremond Texas, Daughter Molly Storrs Johnson and son-in-law David Phillip Johnson Sr. of Conroe Texas. Grandchildren Jessica Marie Jay, Stephanie Michelle Varner , Shannon Johnson Cardenas and husband Michael Cardenas, daughter Tabatha Johnson Aragon and husband Michael "Bud" Aragon, son David Phillip Johnson II and wife Robin Denise Kelly Johnson. Great-grandchildren Trenton Asher Jay, Julia Rose Jay, Archer Elliot Dunn, Kassidy Johnson Cardenas, Morgan Taylor Aragon, Taycee Ann Aragon, Kendall Lane Johnson, Riann Kelly Luman and expected birth of another great grandchild at anytime to granddaughter Stephanie Varner and Joshua Dunn. Nettie grew up in Bremond Texas and after graduating High School she married Billy Denson Storrs from Cameron Texas in 1948. were married at the Bill's parents home in Bremond Texas. Bill's parents, Roy and Annie Storrs were both teachers. Mrs. Storrs taught Nettie in school including some of her siblings and many other children in Bremond. Mrs. Storrs was a favored teacher in Bremond and taught well into her years. Also attending the small family wedding was Tilton and Willie Mae Cooper, Netties parents. Bill worked as a trucker in the transportation industry. He was best as a carpenter and as a cabinet maker. Later on in their marriage Bill co-owned his own company, B & B Cabinet Makers in Houston Texas. During their marriage they had daughter Molly D Storrs in 1960 and late son Mark Denson Storrs in 1963. were married twenty-four years. Bill passed away in 1988 and is buried in the Bremond . As a child Nettie grew up on a farm. In life Nettie was an avid flower gardener. She could grow just about any type of flower and this was definitely her passion through life. Later in life while living in Shreveport Louisiana she took classes to become a Certified Master Gardener. She loved collecting seeds. She could barely walk by a plant and if it had seed head Nettie would pick them. She had jars and jars full of seeds that one day she planned to plant and usually always did. She always had a flower bed full of gorgeous flowers. She passed on her love of flowers to daughter Molly and granddaughters Jessica and Stephanie. When "little" Phillip was young, Nettie and Molly encouraged him to "help" work in the flower beds all along secretly knowing that they were passing on the "Passion for Flowers" torch. Nettie and Molly also used their secret weapon of flowers on Molly's husband Phillip Sr., who to this day loves to work in the yard with Molly. When Nettie got older Phillip would do Nettie's bidding in her flower garden just to make her proud and to spend the day away laughing and teasing each other. Nettie loved Phillip like her own son. Sometimes it was hard to tell which one was her child, Molly or Phillip. Nettie's love for flowers also worked on her second husband, Paul Robertson. On 15th, 1978 Nettie and Paul Robertson married at the First Baptist Church in Shreveport Louisiana. built a beautiful Lake out on Cross Lake. It was their little bit of paradise. In 1985 they started their own Trucking , Robertson Transport. Nettie had worked as a bookkeeper most of her life so that worked perfectly with starting a trucking company with Paul. Paul had started out as a trucker and quickly moved into administrative duties for his family's company Robertson Trucking. we're prosperous in their business and sold Robertson Transport in 1999. retired and moved to Conroe Texas in 2001 to be near Molly and husband Phillip Johnson. It was Nettie & Paul and Molly & Phillip most weekends spending time together whether working in the flowerbeds, playing Scrabble, or taking small trips together. The four some always had fun and shared many laughs together. Nettie and Paul shared 35 wonderful years together. To tell of all of their exciting travels together one would need to write a book. Paul never refused any travel request from Nettie. He took her wherever she could dream to go. traveled all over the United States and then traveled many times abroad were truly best friends and held a special love for each other.
