Obituary: Janet Clara Robertson of Marble Falls, Texas, died 6, 2015. She is the daughter of Frank and Erna Loth, born in Fredericksburg, Texas on 1, 1932. She graduated from St. Marys High School. Janet (Jan) was an Artist with a broad background in Arts and Crafts. She loved to paint flowers and landscapes and focused on oil paintings of the Texas hill country. Her oil paintings were on display at the Highland Arts Gallery where she participated in classes, demos and workshops. She was a member of the Highland Arts Guild and served as Chairman for the work schedule calendar where she was responsible for scheduling volunteer workers for the Highland Arts Gallery and she also served as Membership Chairman, Display Chairman and Second Vice President. She was a member of St. Johns Catholic Church where she worked with the Womens Fellowship Group on arts and crafts and helped take care of the alter linens. She served as Eucharistic Minister at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church and was active with the arts and crafts at the Ladies Club there. She was a member of Catholic Daughters of America. She was active in fund raising events at Sons of Hermann Lodge 120 of Austin. She also served on the Board of Trustees at the Highland Lakes Lodge, Sons of Hermann. She was married to Retired Navy Master Chief Larkin Robertson and they lived in several locations in California, Kingsville, Texas, Charleston, South Carolina, Washington DC, Bainbridge, Maryland, Norfolk, Virginia, Austin, Texas, Briarcliff on Lake Travis and retired in Marble Falls, Texas. loved to travel and their favorite home away from home was the Hale Koa Hotel at Fort DeRussy on Waikiki Beach, Oahu, Hawaii. She spent good times with her friends and family while boating, fishing, camping and swimming on the Highland Lakes. She is survived by her spouse, Larkin Robertson, son James Robertson and wife Janice, daughter Janice Crail and husband David, daughter Dorothy Dawson and husband David, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Clinton Loth. A rosary will be held , 11, 2015 at 7:00 pm in the chapel at St. Johns Catholic Church, Marble Falls, Texas. Obituary: Janet Louise Robertson, age 79 of San Antonio died on , 14, 2012. She was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church Choir. Janet enjoyed quilting, sewing and crocheting, and as a local librarian throughout her life loved reading. Although a native of Wisconsin and a Mid-Westerner at heart, she was an avid Spurs fan. Janet is survived by her husband of 57 years, Graydon Robertson; her children, Jenifer Wylie and husband, Terry, Christopher Robertson and Jonathan Robertson; four grandchildren, Sarah, David, Rebecca and Jacob; and two sisters, Patricia Morrison and Mary Morrow. Obituary: Jane Claire Robertson, at the age of 92 passed away peacefully with grace and comfort on evening, May 6, 2014 at her home in Austin, Texas, where she lived with her husband of 71 years, Reuben Boyd Robertson. Her daughters, Mary Lynn and Ann; her sons, Phillip, John and wife, Nancy, and Paul and wife, Angela; as well as her grandchildren, Sean, Andrea, Amani, Vanessa, Daniel, Isaac, Eric, Tanya, Cecily, Jacqueline, Ethan, Wiley; and 9 great-grandchildren, mourn the loss of their loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Previously deceased but in loving memory are her son, David and daughter, Carolina. She was born Jane Claire Meskimen on 22, 1921 in Kingsville, Texas to Cecile Conaway Meskimen and Bela H. Meskimen, their only child. Mrs. Robertson lived in many places throughout her life and celebrated many outstanding accomplishments, typically through her great musicianship as a pianist and organist. Her main mission on this earth, however, was in service for the Lord. As one newspaper wrote, the Robertsons travel the globe to spread the word of God. She attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas where she met her husband, Reuben Boyd. were married on 23, 1942 at the First Baptist Church in Abilene. In 1950, after studying Spanish for a year in Costa Rica, the Robertsons lived their dream of becoming missionaries with the Baptist Foreign Missionary Board. For the next 20 years, Mrs. Robertson and family worked in Argentina and Mexico spreading the good word. On their retirement from the mission board, Mrs. Robertson went back to school and received her teaching degree in the Chicago area where she taught kindergarten. Upon their retirement, they moved to Kentucky where they raised cattle, worked with migrant workers, and established, The Robertson Worship Endowment at Campbellsville University. Mrs. Robertsons final stop was back where it all began - in Texas. Throughout her life Jane Claire Robertson celebrated life and the great works of the Lord. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., , May 11, 2014 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks . Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., , May 12, 2014 at Highland Park Baptist Church located at 5206 Balcones Drive with Dr. Tim Noel and Reverend Cheryl Kimble to officiate. Reception will follow memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janes memory to Highland Park Baptist Churchs general fund by visiting www.hpbcaustin.org or to the Capital Area Parkinsons Society by visiting www.capitalareaparkinsons.org. |
