Born in Boston, MA, Pauline lived in Indianapolis, IN where her children were born and lived the last 25 years in Austin, Texas. Pauline was deeply spiritual and spent her retirement years providing help and support to others in need through St. Catherines of Siena Be-Frienders and Prayer Shawl groups. Pauline cherished and held her many friends very close to and in her heart. He was born on 19, 1968 at Wilford Hall Medical to Sallie and the late Dr. Albert Eric Riester. He graduated from Clark High School in 1987 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania in 1991. He earned a Master of Science degree in Urban Administration from Trinity University in 1993. At the time of his death he was a second year law student at St. MaryÂs School of Law. Prior to entering law school he had worked for the Alamo Water Reuse and Conservation District, the Downtown Owners Association, the City of San Antonio, and the Bexar Office of Budget and Management. He was a varsity football player in both high school and college. He was a Life Loyal member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was selected for and published in the Law Review, and had recently been inducted into the Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity. He was eagerly anticipating several clerkships this summer after having enjoyed the experience of a 5th Circuit Court of Appeals clerkship last summer. He had a passion for the outdoor life. He loved bay fishing most of all, but also greatly enjoyed hunting and spending time at his familyÂs Hill Country ranch. He cherished his time at home, grilling on the patio and maintaining the landscape around the familyÂs house. Eric was most of all a devoted husband, father and son, and a loyal friend. Obituary: Rudolf Jens Riessen, 73, of Georgetown, Texas entered into eternal peace on 11, 2014. Visitation will be held at Ramsey in Georgetown, TX on 13th from 6:00 to 8:00pm. services will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown on 14 at 10:30 am. Rudy was born on a farm near Anthon, Iowa to Reinhard and Ruth (Hobson) Riessen on 17, 1941. When he was six weeks old, the family moved to a farm in OBrien near Hartley, IA. He attended a rural school until the 8th grade, and then transferred to Hartley High School. He graduated from ana in Sioux Falls, S.D. with degrees in both business and economics. graduation, he farmed with his father. On 11, 1961, he married Betty Polzin at the First Covenant Church in Sioux Falls. lived in Sioux Falls for a year while he completed college and then moved to a farm in Osceola near Hartley, IA. In 1965, they moved a mile and a half away to the home farm in OBrien . Three daughters were born to them. Rudy formerly served on the ana Corporation, OBrien Cattlemens Board of Directors, OBrien Extension Council, Hartley Adult Farmers Board, OBrien Farm Bureau Board of Directors, Great Lakes Cattle Marketing Board, OBrien Land Use Committee, Lincoln Township Trustees, and several committees at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Hartley. In 1984, he was elected to the OBrien Board of Supervisors. As Supervisor, he served on the following boards: OBrien Emergency Management Agency, OBrien Emergency Medical Services Association, Regional Hazardous Materials Commission, OBrien 911 Board of Directors, Regional Transit Authority, Northwest Iowa Planning and Development Commission, and the OBrien Safety Committee. He was re-elected three more times, and served for 20 years before retiring. In 2005, he moved to Georgetown, TX to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He drove for the COPS in Sun City and was a trustee for a time at Faith Lutheran Church in Georgetown. Left to cherish Rudys memory are his wife Betty; daughters Julie (Phil) Boudreaux of Shenandoah, TX, Sherri (Phil) Crepinsek of League City, TX, and Lori (Brian) Webster of Seabrook, TX; grandchildren Emily and John Boudreaux, Chloe Crepinsek, and Sophia and Gavin Webster; and his brother Reinhard E. Obituary: James Patrick Ries, Sr. of Mesquite passed away , at the age of 75. His death was a prayerful one at home surrounded by his 5 children. There is a saying, "A man who kneels before God can stand up to anything." He kneeled before God daily. He marveled at the beauty of nature, and enjoyed visiting the Arboretum with his friend Hilda. Obituary: Edward "Ed" O. Ries age 94 of Lubbock, TX, went to be with his Lord on 11, 2016. Ed was born Oct. 6, 1921 in Kansas City, MO. He was married to Lois Ries for over 52 years, who preceded Ed in death on Jan. 16, 1995. Ed was his class valedictorian at Overton High School, and went to business school prior to serving in the Army Air Corps. While in the military, Ed was selected to attend Johns Hopkins University in engineering for 3 semesters prior to being redeployed to a combat unit in Louisiana. During WWII, Ed participated in the Battle of the Bulge. Ed was in the military from 1942 - 1947. returning to the US, he served time in Tacoma, WA, and finally in Lubbock where he went to Texas Tech University obtaining an architectural degree. Ed worked as an architectural engineer for over 30 years in Lubbock before retiring. Ed continued to live in the home that he designed and built until his final day. Ed was a member of Highland Baptist Church and a life member of Friends of the Library in Lubbock. As an avid "rockhound", Ed was a member of the Lubbock Gem & Mineral Society, serving as president for 3 terms, a member of the South Central Federation of Mineral Societies (SCFMS), serving as president for 2 terms, and a member of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS), serving as president for 1 term. Ed also volunteered for the Lubbock UMC hospital, serving as president for 3 terms, and receiving the Oldest Active Auxiliary Member award on his 90th birthday in 2011. Ed was known as the popcorn guy, since he ran the popcorn booth there. Ed established the SCFMS Endowment Fund in 1985 and served as its chairman until his death. Ed leaves behind 3 children Gary (Amarillo), Gaila (Cedar Hill), Glen (Houston); eight grandchildren; Krista, Tanya, Amy, Michelle, Kevin, Kimberly, Keith, Kyle; fifteen great-grandchildren; Jamie, KayLynn, Will, Theodora, Thomas, Nicole, Britton, Ashley, Conner, Riley, Mikaela, Remy, Eloise, Audrey, Hudson, and 4 great-great grandchildren Michael, Joslynn, Wyatt, and Logan. Pallbearers will be Emerson Tucker, Danny Cotten, Claude Jones, Rocky Gonzales, Kevin Coleman, Keith Ries, Kyle Ries and Kevin Ries.
