Obituary: Richard (Rich) Bevis crossed his last finish line in usual stupendous fashion on , 12th, 2016. Richs life experience was so rich and varied it defied description in writing. Rich was born in Houston on 28th, 1963 to Richard and Martha Bevis. As a child his activities included judo and swimming. He was an accomplished baseball player in his youth. His interest in engines and racing karts and motorcycles started when he was very young. He was an accomplished mechanic even as a young man. Rich was always very intelligent and combined this intelligence and his acumen in engines by attending Texas Tech University. He majored in Mechanical Engineering, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in record time. finishing school, Rich continued the tradition of his familys business and successfully grew the family enterprise to several times larger and expanded business lines during his tenure. Rich cared deeply for the people with whom he worked and treated them and thought of them as family. Rich had a great dedication to family especially his girls, Allison and Promise. are the lights of his life and a prouder father you have never seen. On 14th of this year he welcomed his wife Elisabeth (Lisa) and her daughter Ivana into the Bevis family. Lisa was a great love in his life and provided him with much comfort. Rich was always an avid risk taker in all areas of his life, and no more so than his racing hobby. He started out racing sprint bikes and eventually gravitated to endurance racing. He even owned his own race team, Loco Motion. His racing team was like family to Rich. It would be remiss to finish this obituary without mentioning the attitude with which Rich left this world. His disease stacked the odds significantly against him. Still, he was never known to utter a negative word, and was always upbeat. He was always sure he would eat it and that enthusiasm was infectious. Richs greatest gift to this world and those who knew him might be that attitude and the example he set in how to live ones life. Rich will be missed by his wife, Lisa, daughters Allison and Promise, step-daughter Ivana, brothers Cameron (Cam), Blair and Daryl. He will also be missed by zillions of friends and family. Yes, zillions is a number, he told me so. Friends were cordially invited to visit with the family at 1:00 p.m. on , 17th in the chapel of Waltrip Directors, 1415 Campbell Road in Houston and where the funeral service was conducted directly thereafter at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service for family and close friends followed at Memorial Oaks , also in Houston. Obituary: Richard Lee Park, Sr., passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on 11, 2017. He was born in Austin, Texas, on 2, 1942. He graduated From Travis High School in 1960. Richard served in the Army National Guard, and then joined the US Navy in 1960. He was a Vietnam veteran and honorably discharged in 1967. wards, he became a lineman, working at various places such as putting power lines across the Houston ship channel and working for the City of Austin Electric Department. Richard graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1978 with a B.S. in criminal justice. He was a UT police officer, where he would meet his wife of now 42 years, Barbara Chenault Park. He became an adult probation officer with Travis in 1982, and retired in 2004. A loving father, he raised four children: William Gene Lewis, Kim Hughes, Richard Lee Park, Jr. and Chelsea Renee Park Puckett. He has touched many lives along the way, coaching youth football and baseball, working with First Tee of Austin and junior golf. He played softball for years with the Snoopies, a team made up of mostly family members. Richard was also a Mason and a Shriner clown named Snuggles. He was an ardent animal lover and adored children. Richard and his wife made their home a safe place for all of their childrens friends to come and visit, play, and find refuge from their home struggles. He is preceded in death by his mother; Agnes Park Voigt; father, James Park; four brothers, Robert Park, Sr., George Park, Sr., Billy Cox, Sr., and Frank Park. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Chenault Park; children, grandchildren and siblings, Joseph Park, Sr., Howard Park, Sr., Margaret Shaw, John Park and Agnes Christal; as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Richard lived a big full life serving his country, community, and church tirelessly. He was a member of University Avenue Church of Christ for several years serving his congregation nobly. He loved his family dearly and will be missed immensely. We can be at peace knowing he's in his Heavenly home now and enjoying a wonderful reunion with his family. A Celebration of Richards life will be held at 3:30 P.M., on , 1, 2017, at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks . Guests are encouraged to wear Longhorns colors in memory of Richards love of football. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, ASPCA, or Habitat for Humanity. |

Obituary: Richard Cicero Thomas, Sr., (R.C.), 88, of Hilltop Lakes, Texas passed away on 21, 2016. He was born in Pittsburg, Texas on 17, 1928 to Norman and Lottie Thomas. He was married to Gwen Jenkins Thomas for 45 years. R.C. worked as an operations engineer for Shell Chemical, Process Operators, Stone and Webster, Cain Chemical and Oxychem. He joined the Army in 1945 where he served 15 months. R.C. enjoyed telling jokes and A&M football. He also had a passion for golf and fishing. Obituary: Shirley Mae Richard, age 72, of Montgomery, Texas was born 3, 1937 in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and was called home to be with the Lord on 11, 2010 on her 52nd wedding anniversary in Conroe, Texas. She graduated in 1955 from Greensburg High School in Pennsylvania and then attended a business school for administrative assistants. Shirley was employed for over 25 years by the Apple Valley School District, Apple Valley, California, where she helped mold the minds and futures of thousands of students as an administrative assistant for the counselors. She loved her family, sewing, gardening, the theatre and baking. If you asked her family, she was the world champion chocolate chip cookie baker. Shirleys values and character rubbed off on all who came in contact with her. She was a born again Christian who was a member of the First Baptist Church of Apple Valley and the Lone Star Cowboy Church of Montgomery, and is now cradled by the Lord our Jesus. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel (Jennings) McAfee, of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, and brother, James McAfee. Shirley is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert Richard, Sr.; children, Steven Richard and Lori Richard, both of Apple Valley, California and Robert, Jr. of Montgomery, Texas; daughters-in-law, Joanna Richard and Tammy Richard; siblings, Ethel Steiner of Stockertown, Pennsylvania, Carol Gess of Corona, California, Robert McAfee of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and William McAfee of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grand children.
