As good enough to keep TSGT Andrew Slivocka Jr. USAF Ret., age 71, passed away on 23 2011. He was born on 8, 1939 in Bayonne, New Jersey to the late Andrew Sr. and Helen Slivocka. TSGT Slivocka served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1977. He began his career in the Air Force as a Missile Maintenance Technician and retired as a Training Instructor at Lackland Air Force Base. During his military service he was stationed at Laughlin AFB, Texas, Vandenberg AFB, California, McConnell AFB, Kansas, and Lackland AFB, Texas. his retirement he worked for KCI in San Antonio as a quality control specialist. Andy is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Hide Slivocka, his son Andrew Slivocka III, daughters, Helen Vasquez, Teresa Howell, Julia Favre, grandchildren, Troy Howell Jr., Terasita Howell, Jessica Charles, Lita Blaylock and great granddaughter Bonnie Zulick. Andy also leaves behind his sisters, Helen Marie Cerbone, Fran Ratner, Joan Smits, Margie Cornacchio, and brother, Richard Slivocka. He was a loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed bowling, coin collecting, but loved fishing most of all. He will remain deeply loved and will be intensely missed by all who had the pleasure of sharing his life. He was a wonderful father and husband, he loved the outdoors and animals. He was extremely proud of his children; his son, who is beginning his 4th year at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, and his daughter, who is entering her 1st year at San Angelo State University. He was preceded in death by his father, William Schwenk. He is survived by his wife, Gay Lynn, whom he married on May 7, 2005; son, Hayden; daughter, Skyler; sister, Carol Taylor; brother, Jack Schwenk; his mother, Ruth Schwenk; two nephews, Devin Taylor and Derek Schwenk, and two nieces, Kristen Schwenk and Nicole Schwenk. Obituary: WILBURN C QUESENBERRY, was born in Pounding Mill Virginia in Tazewell on 23, 1933. He went to heaven to be with his wife on 17, 2013; his loving wife preceded him on 27, 2012. He was the son of the late Minnie Belle Quesenberry Rutledge, and the late grandparents of George and Mary Quesenberry who raised him. He was the oldest of out 6 children. Wilburn C Quesenberry was a little rebellious when he was growing up; he started working at a young age doing odd jobs. While working as a short order cook at the Spic-n-Span in Clintwood, VA during 1948, he met his soul mate; who he knew he was going to marry. a long courtship, he joined the army in 1953, they were married on 23, 1953 and were faithful to one another for 58 years. Wilburns journey in the service took him and his family all over the world. had four children, one son and three daughters. When they received orders to move to Texas he decided to retire and make Texas their home. Their daughter Teresa Quesenberry preceded her parents in death in 2006. had four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Diana Berry and Dorria Fox; son, Wilburn C Quesenberry; grandchildren, Shawn Baumler and wife, Jennifer Baumler, Kristien Clarke and husband, Marlon Clarke, Steven Starnes and wife, Emily Starnes and Kathryn Fox; great grandchildren, Raja Clark, Xavier Clark and Corban Starnes; step great grandchildren, Gregory Johnson, Alex Johnson and Tristan Fowler. He was born 21, 1928, in Celina, Texas, to the late Tillmon and Eva Cupp. For 22 years, Ray proudly served in the US Army until his retirement. He shared his genuine passion for patriotism through teaching ROTC for 20 years at Memorial, Kennedy and Edgewood High Schools. He was preceded in death by his wife, Letha F. Cupp. Ray is lovingly survived by his wife, Velda J. Cupp; children, Scott A. Cupp and wife, Sandra; John R. Obituary: Senior CPO Michael Preston Hunt, USCG Ret., age 59, of San Antonio, TX, peacefully passed away , 17, 2004, with his daughter by his side. From 1966-69 served as Operations/Communications Supervisor in the United States Navy. In 1970, he joined the United States Coast Guard where he served our country until 1987. Throughout his time in the USCG, he served as a recruiter, Group Yeoman, Office Supervisor of the USCG Personnel Support , Personnel Office at USCG Air Station, San Diego, CA. He has traveled the world during his time in the Service. Michael was finally accepted for Advancement to Chief Warrant Officer, which he declined so he could stay close to his wife and family. In his younger days he was an avid golfer, with an opportunity to advance as a professional golfer. In addition, he was a well known softball player while serving the military. He is dearly loved and survived by his daughter, Dawn Tracy Hunt and her companion, Lyle W. Drager; son, Gregory Semtob Hunt; grandchildren, Erin Joseph Hunt and Monica Dawn Drager; father, CMSGT John R. Hunt USAF Ret. and wife, Kathryn; brother, CWO John R. Obituary: Richard E. Williams Col., USAF, Ret. age 83, passed away on , 8, 2009. He was born 13 1925 in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Wallace and Marguerite Williams. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Peggy Emrich of Peabody, MA. He began his military career during World War II in 1943 after graduating from Thomas Jefferson High Class of 1943. At the end of the war, he enrolled at Trinity University and graduated in 1949 with a BS degree with a Major in mathematics, and a double Minor in physics and chemistry. He married his high school sweetheart, Gloria Mabrito, in 1946, they celebrated their 63rd anniversary this past year. Having stayed in the reserves, he was recalled to active duty during the Korean War in 1950. He then decided to remain in the Air Force in order to complete his life-long dream of becoming a career military officer and pilot. This was his accomplishment after thirty one years of distinguished, proud and loyal service ~ he retired in 1974. His years encompassed many interesting assignments. In the 1950s, he flew as a flight test pilot in many jet aircraft, he was a member of the military central coordinating staff in Ottawa, Canada and served as the American Ambassadors pilot. In later years, he became chief of maintenance for the F-5 Skoshi Tiger Evaluation in Vietnam at which time he flew 303 combat missions in the F-5. He was most proud of his two distinguished flying crosses and his 13 air medals plus many other awards. Upon his return, he was assigned as the F-5 and T-38 systems manager at Kelly AFB. In 1968, he was sent to Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio as director of Logistics for the F-15 Systems Program office. His last tour of duty was with the USAF Security Service now known as the Intelligence Command of the USAF. retirement from the USAF, he worked for Rockwell International as Manager for AWACS. He returned to San Antonio after retiring in 1988. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner and a Lifetime member of Order of the Daedalians. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria; daughter, Diana Rockwell and her husband, Don; grandsons, Bradford Kyle of Harper, Texas; Richard and Becky Rockwell of Little Elm, Texas, and brother, Wallace H. Williams of Florida. Visitation will be held on , 10th from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 8207 Callaghan Rd., San Antonio, 78230 or a charity of ones choice.

Obituary: Richard Louis Kasper, Lt. Col. USAF Ret. age 76, passed away peacefully on , 16, 2010 in San Antonio. Born and raised in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, Richard earned a football scholarship to Vanderbilt University where he studied mathematics. He returned home after his sophomore year to work and help his family financially. Richard joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956 and retired after 22 years of dedicated service. During his USAF career he earned his degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, spent many years as part of a B-47 aircrew, commanded various munitions facilities around the world and served faithfully in Vietnam. Richard loved music and was a gifted guitar player and singer. He liked to dance, and later in life enjoyed being a train engineer at Fiesta, Texas. A devoted father and grandfather he will be genuinely missed. Richard is survived by two daughters; Joni Landry and her husband, Mike and Kristi Chapman and her husband, Ed; three sons, Jeffry Kasper and wife Toni, Scott Kasper, and Kraig Kasper and wife Stacey, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Obituary: Col. Perry Menzies, USAF Ret. went to be with the Lord on , 16, 2008 at age 90. He was born on 27, 1917 in Menard, TX. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Louise Menzies of San Antonio; and his two sons: Stephen and wife, Sally of San Antonio and Winston and wife, Donna of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren: Krissy Hirtz, Ron Menzies, Monica Menzies and John Menzies. In 1935, Perry graduated from Gorman High School in Gorman, Texas and in 1940, graduated from Texas A&M. He completed Flying Cadet training and graduated as a pilot and 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps. He proudly served as a pilot in WWII and completed many combat missions during the Korean conflict. Perry was Commander of the 308th Air Refueling Squadron in Dover, Delaware, where he retired as a full colonel in 1963. He retired again, several years later, from the San Antonio Department. He was a past member of Trinity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Director of the Alpha House and was a current member of First Presbyterian Church where he participated in many service ministries. He will always be remembered for his character, dedication to the Lord and his unselfish service to others. The family will receive friends on , 21st from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Loring on McCullough.
