Obituary: Kathy Ellen Reimherr, born 4, 1958 in San Antonio, Texas entered Heaven on 18, 2010 in order to join her Mama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank L. and Frances Reimherr, brother-in-law, Jim Viner and her special Aunt, Mary Ellen. She is survived by her brothers, Michael Reimherr and wife Nancy, David Reimherr and wife Jennifer, sisters, Margaret Espiritu and husband Nick, Joan Fallis and husband Mark, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Kathy who had Downs Syndrome was a very special beloved member of the Reimherr family. She had a special bond with her mother who she lived with her entire life. Her enduring love and joy affected everyone who had the privledge to know her and share in her life. The world is truly a better place due to her life. A special thanks to Maria Ruiz and Kathys brother, Mike and sister-in-law Nancy who were her main caretakers for the last two years. Special appreciation to the Alamo Hospice family of caretakers, and Linda and Terry from the Visiting Angels. Kathy also lived for a time with her sister, Joan and brother-in-law, Mark. Obituary: Frances Margaret Reimherr (née Callahan) of San Antonio went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 12, 2009 at the age of 92. She died at home surrounded by her children and other loving family members and friends. Frances was born to Daniel and Anna Callahan on 31, 1917 in El Paso, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Lt. Col. Frank L. Reimherr; her dearly loved parents; two sisters, Mary Ellen and Catherine, a brother, James and son-in-law, Jim Viner. She is survived by five children: her most beloved daughter and youngest child Kathy, daughters Margaret Viner-Espiritu and husband Nick Espiritu and Joan Fallis and husband Mark Fallis, and sons Michael Reimherr and wife Nancy Reimherr and David Reimherr and wife Jennifer Reimherr. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is a graduate of St. Gerard Catholic High School. Frances was an avid tennis player during her youth and became the Tennis Queen of Lindbergh Park in 1934. She took great pleasure in dancing and enjoyed drawing. She drew lovely pictures and some of her grandchildren share her talent for the arts: musical, written and visual. Frances lived most of her adult life in San Antonio, but also lived in Washington, D.C. and Chicago before marrying her husband in Alexandria, Louisiana in 1944. The couple settled in San Antonio where Frances became a longtime member of St. Lukes Catholic Church. Frances was a lover of life and enjoyed socializing with friends, especially the weekly poker games she played in for years. She particularly enjoyed the camaraderie with her neighbors in the Honey Hill Neighborhood. She organized walking groups and could be seen every evening walking up and down her street waving to neighbors. Frances was always excited to be the hostess for the neighborhoods annual summer block party and welcomed her friends to the yearly potluck on her back porch. She was conscious of health and fitness and her children recollect that she was a health nut before being a health nut was popular. Frances took great pride that she owned and operated her own business during the Great Depression. She proudly recalls her restaurant, Callahans, and how she sold ickel hamburgers. She enjoyed watching beauty pageants and game shows. The Bingo Queen had a lot of luck playing bingo, but this lady luck really loved her regular trips to Las Vegas with family and friends. Frances laughed that each time she hoped to hit the big one and even enjoyed a few small jackpot winnings. The most important, admirable and special part of Frances life was the fact that she was not only a mother for 64 years, but always a mama. She was the primary caregiver for her 51-year-old daughter Kathy, who has Down Syndrome. Her unfaltering commitment and love of Kathy provided a shining example of parental dedication. She will be missed and always loved by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends. The family would like to extend its sincere appreciation and gratitude to Visiting Angels and Alamo Hospice. Frances children and their spouses would like to especially thank Maria Ruiz from Visiting Angels for her kindness, compassion and dedication to Frances care. There will be a rosary and memorial mass at St. Lukes Catholic Church, 4603 Manitou Drive, San Antonio, TX 78228, on , 15, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National at a later date. Obituary: Reimers, Roland George "Uncle Roly Poly". Roland George Reimers passed away unexpectedly on , 5, 2014 at Colonial Gardens in San Antonio at the age of 86. He was born in Seguin Texas to Wilhelm and Laura (Engelke) Reimers May 13, 1928, Mother's Day. He was a graduate of Navarro School and served during WWII as a Merchant Marine. Roland worked at farming and fishing, as a traveling paint distributor, house painter and he built, owned and operated a roller skating rink, where he could dance on his skates. He was married to Elizabeth Meyer from 1948-1961. He was then married to Patricia Kischefsky in 1963 for 6 months. His third long-term relationship didn't result in a marriage to Music Professor and Church Organist, Anita Windecker. He later married Doris Pfullmann in 1980 and they remained together until her death in of 2010. While married to Doris he went back to painting houses, gardening, building custom made bird houses, playing outdoor shuffle board games, and building frames for Doris' beautiful artwork, as well as playing music together. Roland loved singing and could sing a song from every word that he heard. He often sang and played harmonica at many area nursing homes. Roland's family includes his son Gary W Reimers and his wife Debra; his daughter Gay Land and her boyfriend Arthur Vasquez; his Grandson Justin Reimers and his wife Andrea; grandson Travis Reimers and his wife Gloria; grandson Nicholas and his wife Jenny; grandson Cory and his girlfriend Nicole Fisk; grandson Brandon Reimers; grandson Jason Land and his wife Yoana; grandson Alex Land and his partner Mark McGregory; granddaughter Pamela Ford and her husband Tony; grandson Brent Land and his wife Meredith; great grandchildren Camden Reimers, Tristan Reimers, Isaiah Reimers, Ellis Reimers, Everleigh Reimers, Abigail Land, Brendan Ford, Mikalah Ford. Obituary: Lenora Reimers, age 88, passed away , 24, 2010. Born Frankie Lenora Collier, in Leander, Texas, 14, 1921, to father, Samuel Oscar Collier and mother, Myrtle Elizabeth Maynard, she became Aunt Lenora to a great number of nieces and nephews and their children, and many friends. She lived her entire life in Central Texas and with husband, Johnny Reimers, raised sheep, goats, and cattle on their ranch on the Pedernales River in Spicewood. She worked many years for Southwestern Bell as an operator supervisor and was an active rancher most of her life. She had a variety of interests throughout her life including horseracing, rodeo, sewing, gardening, hunting, fishing, and painting. Later in life she was active in her community as an Emergency Medical Technician for the Pedernales Fire Department. She cherished her brothers and sisters, their children, and grandchildren. She took great interest in each and everyone and was the family historian and keeper of the family tree. She delighted in every addition to the family whether by marriage or birth. She is survived by her sister, Oleta Phillips; and several generations of nieces and nephews, many of whom enjoyed time with her and Uncle Johnny on the ranch. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Reimers; brothers, LV Collier, Eugene Collier, and Damon Collier; sisters, Fannie Mae Cox and Corrine Priest; half brothers, Willie r Collier and Austie Leo Collier; and half sister, Eloise Lloyd. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., , 30, 2010 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks , 6300 W.
