Obituary: Dorothy Marie Reich 5, 1931 - 10, 2011 Dorothy Marie Reich, 79, of Waco, passed away peacefully on , 10, 2011 at her home. services will be 10:00 a.m., , 13, 2011 at Connally/Compton Directors Chapel with Pastor Carroll Hambrick and Pastor Richard Sellers officiating. Burial will follow at Rosemound . Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., , 12, 2011 at the funeral home. Dorothy Marie was born 5, 1931 in Crawford, Texas, the only daughter to George Doyle and Vida Mae (Webb) Brunson. She grew up with 6 brothers and her best friend, Daniel E. Reich, who she later married on 21, 1947. Dorothy and Daniel spent the next 45 years raising their 4 children who were the center of their lives. Dorothy was a special grandmother to her grandchildren and Nawna to her great grandchildren. She was an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was a friend to everyone she met, especially her fools buddy, Edna Carlisle. Most of all she was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior. Dorothys greatest joy was feeding her family and friends not only with good food but also Gods word. Her nightly prayer was for the Lord to keep a hedge of protection around her family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Daniel; son-in-law, Paul C. Early; and brothers, Doyle, Lloyd, and Billy Brunson. She is survived by daughters, Janice Abernathy and husband, Butch, Patsy Whipple and husband, David, and Peggy Early; son, Danny Reich and wife, Pam; extended family, Jimmie Holt and husband, Billy; grandchildren, Billy Abernathy, Michael Abernathy, Dianna Carney, Kristy Erlanson, Alyce Lehrmann, Amanda Bonner, Captain Paul C. Early, Misty Reich, Private 2nd Class Miach Reich, and Danny Reich III; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; brothers, David Brunson and wife, Barbara, Donald Brunson and wife, Shirley, and George Brunson and wife, Pat; sister-in-laws, Mary Brunson, Marilyn Brunson, and Ethel Brunson. She attended schools in Lincoln and graduated from Northeast High School in 1959. On 28, 1960 she was united in marriage to Oren P. Reich in Lincoln, NE. Donna was a homemaker and worked as a unit group supervisor for Banker's Life of Lincoln for over 10 years. She has one living sister, Elma Loupe, in Bayou Des Allemands, Louisiana, and a cousin Velma Thibodeaux, raised as a sister, in Katy, Texas, and a multitude of nieces and nephews. She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Reich Romero, Trudie Reich Underwood, and Barbara Reich Parker; six grandchildren, Luther Allen Romero, Jr. (Bubba), Desireé Paige Romero, Bryan Lee Underwood, Melissa Jane Underwood Banhagel, Steven Uzelac Parker, Jr. (Stevie) and Brittany Candies Parker; and five great grandchildren, Austin Kyle Underwood, Ashlee Bryanne Underwood, Beau Karson Banhagel, Aryn Desireé Romero, Madison Tate Romero and Cameron Alexis Romero. Obituary: REICH Aaron Sylvin Reich, age 90, peacefully passed away , 5, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Kerrville, Texas where he received constant loving care from outstanding doctors and nurses, as well as all the staff. Aaron was born on 28, 1920 in San Antonio, Texas. Aaron attended Lamar Elementary, Hawthorne Jr. High, Thomas Jefferson High, Southwest Texas University and Texas A&M. He graduated with a bachelors degree in Arts and Science. He was a decorated veteran of World War II. He served in France and Germany and participated in the battles of the Ardennes and Rhineland during World War II as a Combat Engineer, 90th Infantry Division. His military medals included 2 Bronze Stars and 2 Purple Hearts for wounds received while laying explosives to destroy the German pill box emplacements along the infamous Siegfried Line in Germany during The Battle of the Bulge. He was an Eagle Boy Scout, Troop 9, an Assistant Scout Master and member of the Scout Council. He was a Master Mason, 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Alzafar Shrine. He was a letter perfect instructor as a member of two degree teams. He was a member of the Texas A&M Singing Cadets and The Ross Volunteers. He proudly wore his Aggie ring and instructed it be donated the Texas A&M Rotating Ring Display.He was a life time member of Agudas Achim. Aaron was employed by Sol Franks Military Uniform for 28 years. Later, he became a Licensed Real Estate Broker, specializing in oil land leases. Aaron was an avid reader and loved to spend time in the library. He loved to tell stories about his wonderful experiences in life. And he had so many stories to tell. Greg and Gail met at Loyola University in New Orleans and were married in 1972. lived in Dallas for all of their 42 years of love and marriage. His devotion to Christ began and deepened with his commitment to St. Ignatius of Loyola and the Spiritual Exercises. His passion continued as he completed a program of spiritual direction and guided others in the way of Ignatian prayer. He went through vigorous, specialized combat training at Schofield Barracks, HI, prior to deployment to the Republic of South Vietnam. Horace was a loving, devoted husband/father and a proud military veteran of the Korean/Vietnam Wars. His hobbies included traveling, camping and fishing. Hes recognized for volunteering for charitable organizations including Lions Club, Neighborhood Watch and hosting foreign military officers training at Goodfellow AFB. In the Air Force, he was involved working on all forms of electronics. John died 2, 2015 of a massive heart attack, while working at the Judson Independent School District. He was a school bus driver and mechanic. He would often say that he loved His Job. He was 68 years old. John had two favorite past times, motorcycles and telephones. John had a large collection of antique telephones, which he was planning on refurbishing after his retirement from Judson. He belonged to several local motorcycle clubs and participated in many of their events. He also motored to Wisconsin every year to visit family and friends. His parents, Lyda and Art Rehwaldt, now deceased, were life-long residents of Hartford, Wisconsin. John knew the Lord Jesus and was an active member of the Oak Hills Church/Journey Fellowship. John will always be remembered by church members, who were sick and received healing prayers as a result of Johns many e-mail prayer requests to Christian friends across the country. John served his country with honor until his retirement. He will receive military honors with a Veterans burial at Fort Sam Houston National in San Antonio, Texas on Wed. 22 at 10:15AM. A motorcycle motorcade will take place prior to the service from Sunset North In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oak Hills Church/Journey Fellowship, 19595 IH 10 West, San Antonio, Texas 78257 and the ALS local Society, 8600 Wurzbach Road #700, San Antonio, Texas 78240. |
