Obituary: Charlie Raska, Jr., 84, of Victoria, passed away on , 16, 2015. Charlie was born on 27, 1930 in Iowa Colony, Texas to the late Charlie Raska, Sr. and Stevie Borecky Raska. Charlie owned and operated Hi-Way Motors in Victoria for 17 years. He was a retired commercial fisherman and a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Coletoville. Charlie proudly served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mildred Billo Raska; daughters, Ruth E. (Jim) Krause and Diane M. (Blane) Schroeder; son, Darrell W. (Darlene) Raska; sister, Georgia Rogers; brother, Harrison Raska, all of Victoria; 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Benny and Joe Raska. A visitation will be held on , 18, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm at Colonial . The Service will be on , 19, 2015, 10:00 am at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Pastor Jeff Bergeron officiating. Burial will follow at Coletoville with Full Military honors by the Victoria Veterans Council. Pallbearers will be Russell Krause, Brad Schroeder, Doug Schroeder, Jonathon Raska, Shawn Koenig and Robert McMullen, Jr. Memorials may be made to Martin Luther Lutheran Church or Hospice of South Texas. Obituary: CW3 (Ret.) Gordon Rask, age 81, of Killeen passed away , May 8, 2010 at his residence. Gordon was born 24, 1928 in Rochester, MN to Chris and Elsie Rask. While serving in the United States Army he received the Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal with 4 oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the Air Medal with numeral 2, the Master Parachutist Badge, the Good Conduct Medal, the Glider Badge, the National Defense Service Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, the United Nations Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), the Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Silver Star and 4 Bronze service Stars, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm. He retired 31, 1977 at Fort Hood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Rask on 9, 2009 and by a son Steven Rask on 31, 2008. He is survived by a son, Michael B. Rask of Copperas Cove; two daughters, Susan Rask Baine of Tucson, AZ and Teresa Rask Wager of Fayetteville, NC; two sisters, Alice Riess of Rochester, MN and Mary Quandt of Georgetown, TX; twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The Rask family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6-8 p.m. , May 13, 2010 at Crawford-Bowers in Killeen. services will be 11:30 a.m. , May 14, 2010 in the chapel of Crawford-Bowers in Killeen. Interment services will follow in the Central Texas State Veterans with full military honors. For those that desire the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 406 West 34th Street, Kansas City, MO 64111. Obituary: Angeline Ann Clara Rashid, of San Antonio, passed away peacefully on , 23, 2004. Ann was born Angeline Clara Degli-Uomini, one of a large Italian family of 10 children, on 30, 1917 in Crabtree, Pennsylvania and she grew up in Youngstown, Ohio, where she graduated from East High School. She married her next door neighbor, Ralph Rashid, on 15, 1941. Together they lived a rich and full life, traveling and living all over the world. Ann was a devoted wife and mother. She showed her love and affection by cooking incredibly delicious food. She unselfishly cared for our ailing father for many years. She loved everything from her bowling club, lunch bunch, and gardening to grand entertaining. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Colonel Ralph Rashid, U.S. Army Ret.. Ann is survived by her children, Dr. Edward Rashid and his wife, Marilyn of San Antonio, Louise Murray and her husband John of Burke, VA, Patricia Smalley and her husband Gary of Seattle, WA; seven grandchildren, Marisa Murray, John Murray, Michele Murray, Brian Rashid, Eric Rashid, Kaley Smalley and Casey Smalley; two sisters, Alba Johnson and Theresa Petiya both of Youngstown, OH. Our mother deeply appreciated the love, support and kindness shown her by her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Rashid.
