Obituary: Kenneth Roy Randig was born 7, 1940 in Taylor, Texas to Alfred E. and Lillie S. Rundberg Randig. He had one brother Eugene Randig. The family bought a farm near Hutto, Texas when Kenneth was very young. He attended Hutto ISD for all 12 years and graduated in 1958. As a young boy he was interested in cattle and he was involved in showing cattle at local Stock Shows. HE was an athlete and loved playing Little League Baseball. His best sport was football having lettered all 4 years in High School and once scored 6 touchdowns against then rival Pflugerville. He also played basketball and ran track. Playing fullback and wearing # 32, many boys said they quit football because of when they tackled him they saw stars. On 14, 1962 he married his high school sweetheart, va Wendland. were blessed with three children, Ronna Lea, Retta Lyn and Robert Lane. Kenneth purchased his dream ranch in 1970 and it is where they built their new home in 1979. He loved raising cattle and would only raise in his opinion good cattle. He got his first Limousin Bull in 1977 which was the start of raising show cattle for his owns kids during the 1980s. You could always find him in the pasture or on the John Deere 70. And in 1981 he bought the John Deere 4020 that he still used to this day and later his John Deere 4440. There was always fence to build, cattle to work and hay to cut unless the New York Yankees were on TV. He loved the Yankees, Aggies and Spurs. This led to his deep passion of watching his grandsons Peyton and Parker play their youth sports, he never missed a game. He was truly a Gentle Giant, his large stature was only the window to his large heart. He loved his family and God and would do anything for them in a time of need. He was blessed with 4 grandchildren, Peyton and Parker Randig, and Michael and Joseph Hill. One daughter in law Lori Randig and son in law Joe Hill. He never met a stranger, always walking up to someone he did not know at a ballgame or cattle sale wandering who they were and where they were from. He had many friends as evidenced by the huge 70th birthday party at Rowe Valley in 2010 and his and vas 50th wedding anniversary in 2012. He loved a good party and most of all good food. Kenneth Popo will truly be missed by his family and friends. A large void will need to be filled as his presence will now be through the many memories he made with all. under the direction of Condra , Taylor, TX. |
