Obituary: Clare Barbara Donner Rolander, 92, of Spartanburg, SC, died , 31, 2015 in Summit Hills Assisted Living. Born 28, 1922 in Lockport, NY, she was the daughter of the late Carl Benjamin and Margaret Elizabeth Donner. Mrs. Rolander was a graduate of Mount St. Marys School of in Niagara Falls, and a graduate of St. Josephs Business in Lockport, NY. She was a retired Registered Nurse, having once worked with the family of actor Dennis Morgan in La Canada, CA and later in Washington, DC. Along with being very busy with the Mobile Meals program as a volunteer for 20 years, and a longtime member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, she was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, Bertil W. Bert Rolander; daughter, Renee Rolander (Walter) Douglass of Spartanburg; sons, Kevin Charles (Nancy) Rolander, of Spartanburg; Brett Patrick (Brenda) Rolander, of Springfield, VA; and Dana Eric (Missy) Rolander, of Phoenix, AZ; 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Anne Walker Rolander, of Modest Town, VA. She was predeceased by a son, Barry Michael Rolander. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM , 5, 2015, at Floyds Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307, with visitation to follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 AM , 6, 2015, at the Historic St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 161 N. Dean St., Spartanburg, SC 29302, by the Rev. Timothy M. Gahan. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund, 290 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302; or Mobile Meals Service, PO Box 461, Spartanburg, SC 29304. Obituary: Lloyd M. Roland West Columbia---Lloyd M. Roland died on , 4, 2016 in the Lexington Extended after a brief illness. He was born on 14, 1918 in Red Bank, SC. Predeceased by his parents, Allie Victoria and Wade A. Roland; three wives, Gertrude Hall Roland, Maude Koon Roland, and Sallie Pridgen Roland; four brothers, Wade Chick, Jimmy Lee, Donny and Jack; three sisters, Annie Bell, Joyce, and Katie. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Tyler (Ben); sister, Jeanenne Gallop; grandchildren, J. Mark Tyler, M.D. (Tina), Craig Tyler, Sharon Gray (Jason); six great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, step-children, step-grandchildren, step-great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a loving, caring father, grandfather, and kind-hearted Christian man who deeply loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. Mr. Roland was retired from the United States Civil Service Commission as a bus driver where he worked for over 21 years. The family will receive friends on , 8, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman , Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive in Lexington, SC 29072. A memorial will be held at Red Bank Baptist Church on , 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. where Mr. Roland was a member for over 21 years, with interment to follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens.
