Obituary: Clifford H. RenfroEasley Mr. Clifford Howard Renfro, 91, husband of Eloise Cooper Renfro and the late Opal Mae Stewart Renfro, passed away , 19, 2016 at his home. Born in Snowflake, VA, a son of the late Robert David and Clara Davidson Renfro, Mr. Renfro served in the US Army and retired from the US Air Force. He served in WWII landing on Utah Beach Normandy. He served two tours in the Vietnam War where he was listed missing in action on two occasions during the war, and was nominated for the Silver Star. Howard was a member of Easley First Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as deacon and elder. Surviving, in addition to his wife Eloise Cooper Renfro, are three sons, Howard Douglas Doug Renfro (Becky) of Wichita Falls, TX, Brian Renfro (Mary), and David Renfro all of Easley; four daughters, Zeondra Sis/Muffin Patrick (Clifford) of Wichita Falls, TX, Rhonda Youngblood (Gary), Kathy Cox (David) and Sonya Calvert, all of Easley; a sister, Louella Brown of Granite City, IL; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Makenna Grace. In addition to his first wife and parents, Mr. Renfro was predeceased by five brothers and four sisters. services will be 3:30 PM , 22, 2016 in the chapel of Robinson -Downtown. Burial and graveside services will follow at a later date in the Burkburnett , Burkburnett, TX. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:15 PM at the funeral home, prior to the service. The family is at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Easley First Pentecostal Holiness Church, P.O. Obituary: COLUMBIA – A funeral service for Hilda Harrison Render, 70, will be held at 11:00 a.m. , 12, 2017, at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The casket will be placed in the church at 10:00 a.m. for viewing prior to the service. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church fellowship hall. Hilda died , 8, 2017, at Palmetto Baptist Hospital. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late David Anderson and Lelye Rose Harrison. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1964 where she met her husband of 46 years. graduating from high school she was employed by Travelers Insurance for a short time before the birth of her daughter. Throughout the years she spent countless hours volunteering at her daughter’s schools and at her church where she held many leadership positions and was named Asbury Methodist Woman of the year in 2014. She had a great compassion for animals and often helped neighbors by taking care of their pets. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her daughter, Susan Render Johnson (Kevin) of Mt. Pleasant; grandsons, Graham, Rowan and Oliver Johnson of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Virginia H. Woods of Isle of Palms; brother-in-law, Capt. Ronald W. Render (Lynn), U.S. Navy (Ret.) of San Diego, CA.; sister-in-law Angela M. Render of Columbia; sister-in-law, Patricia R. Crosby of Irmo; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard and her brother-in-laws, Robert N. Render and James. A. Woods.
