Obituary: Tahlequah, OK- Services for Ruth (Ballard) Reynolds were held on , 5, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Reverend David Ketcher of First Apostolic Church officiating. Interment was held , 8, 2011 at Greenleaf . Services are under the direction of Reed-Culver of Tahlequah. Pallbearers for Ruth included Robby Clark, Roy Lee Sparks, Joshua Clark, Cody Stolfa, Ryan Stolfa, Gary Terhune, Rick Panther, and Patrick Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Sparks, Paul Farrand, and Leon Clark. Ruth Reynolds was born on 10, 1921 in Camp Gruber, the daughter of Elias and Katie (Crawford) Ballard. Her mother passed while Ruth was quite young, so she lived with her grandparents, Alex (Tuxey) and Mary Ballard. She attended school in Tahlequah and graduated from Sequoyah High School in 1941. In Muskogee ,in 1944, she married the love of her life, John Henry Reynolds. This union was blessed with seven children and sixty seven years of marriage. Her family kept Ruth very busy but she still found time to read a good book, listen to Cherokee Gospel Music, or catch up on her gardening. Ruth made exceptionally good jam and jelly, and shared jars with her family and friends. She loved to gather for a meal with her children, grand and great grandchildren and to reminisce about the fun she had with her brothers and sisters. She really liked spending an evening playing table games. A Christian by faith, Ruth attended the Pentecostal Churches in the area. Ruth was called home to her Lord and Savior on 1, 2011 in Tahlequah. She was eighty- nine years old. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She is welcomed home by her parents, her husband, John, in 7th, 2001, he two sons, Haskell in 2004 and Johnny Lee Reynolds, in 2007. She is welcomed by a baby grand daughter, Kelley Reynolds. And her brothers and sisters waiting to join her include, Emmitt and Charley Collier, Mattie Collier, Mae James, and Tom Ballard. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son and four daughters, Billy Reynolds of Tulsa, OK, , Jackie Drywater of Tahlequah, OK, Mary Sammie Sparks and husband Roy of Tahlequah, OK; Sharon Clark and special friend, Bob Crouse, Kansas City, MO; Kathy and husband Paul Farrand of Tahlequah, OK . Her two brothers and one Sister are Bob Ballard of Muskogee, George Benge of Tulsa, OK, and Odie Brashers of Sand Springs, OK, as well as special cousins, Andy Ballard and Opal Conrad, special niece, Mary Shamel, special nephew, David Walker, and a very special friend, Ruth Utsler , as well as nineteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and many friends and loved ones. |

Obituary: Graveside services for Ronnie Dean Reynolds will be held on , 27th, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Tahlequah City Pavillion. Visitation for Ronnie will be held on , 26th, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 Pm at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Mr. Arnold McGee officiating. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.reedculver.com. Pallbearers for Ronnie include Rowdy Reynolds, Lancer Reynolds, Krys Reynolds, Dakota Fields, Darrell Underwood, and Scott Underwood. Honorary pallbearers include Weston Wyatt, Gery Reed, Nathan Bardin, Brandon Bardin, Ron Bland, Ronnie Thumper Reynolds, Shane Reynolds, Carney Caughman Jr., Justin Farmer and his old fishing buddy, Tom Flanning. Ronnie dean Reynolds was born on 8th, 1941 in Grady, OK, the son of Marvin and Pearl Reynolds. His father passed away young, and his mother married Buster Hatmaker, the man that raised him. Ronnie enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and honorably served his country. Upon returning to civilian life, he attended school and completed his degree at Fresno State University, bareback riding to earn extra income, and worked the remainder of his life as a Hospital Engineer. Whenever he wasn working, Ronnie loved being out doors. He loved his Simmental cattle and his horses. He enjoyed pleasure riding or trail riding near Marble City and the cloverleaf circle. He thought a day spent at a good fishing hole was never wasted. He liked to watch the old westerns that featured John Wayne and other famous stars, with Rawhide being a favorite. He loved life on the farm and raising his three children to enjoy the pleasure of working outside. He was professional in his business dealings, and onery as all get out with his own family. He possessed a wicked sense of humor and loved to play jokes and tease. He loved to gather with his family to share a holiday meal but also had moments when he liked the solitude found on his own front porch. He was a certified barber, former President of the Oklahoma Chapter of Simmental Cattle Association, attained Grand Master status at Masonic Lodge Number 10 of Tahlequah, OK and a proud member of the Choctaw Nation. Most of all, he was so very proud of his children and grandchildren. He watched each accomplishment and supported them whenever possible. Ronnies health began to fade and the Lord called this hard working cowboy home from his labors on 23rd, 2015 in Tulsa, OK with his family at his side. He was 73 years old. He will be greatly missed. Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, mother and step-father. Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Rowdy Reynold and wife Rhonda of Missouri, Lancer Reynolds and wife Leah of Stilwell, OK, and one daughter, Nora Fields and husband Mud of Grandview, OK. He leaves two brothers and one sister, Weston Wyatt and wife Evelyn of Park Hill, OK, Carl Ray Reynolds and wife Sueann of Martinsberg, WV, and Irene Underwood of Tahlequah, OK. His legacy and love of life live on in his eight grandchildren, Nikki Fletcher and husband Ashton, Shane Reynolds and wife , Krys Reynolds, Dakota Fields and wife Brittany, K.C. Reynolds, Ronnie Reynolds, Laramey Reynolds, and Justin Farmer and wife Joann and special cousin Jodi Bardin as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones. |

Obituary: Ray Neil Reynolds, age 76, passed away on , 5, 2016 after a short illness. Ray is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Nord-Reynolds, two brothers, Rex A. and Rodney W. Reynolds, and two sisters, Theo Dora Reynolds-Johnson, and Judy Kay Reynolds-Higgins, multiple nieces and nephews, and other family and friends. Ray was a devoted Christian who lived his life by the tenets of his faith and worked to make the world a better place. Ray was born in Oklahoma City on 19, 1940 to Delos G., Duke, and Enid A. Reynolds. He spent his early years in northwest Oklahoma living close to extended family. The family then moved to Del City, where he attended Junior High and High School. He attended OU before apprenticing with the local electrical workers union and becoming a master electrician, and later, an instructor at the U.S. Postal Service Training at OU, where he retired. |
