Obituary: Shelley Marie Ousley Rowe, age 38, of Wellston, passed away , 23, 2017 at the Ohio State University Medical East in Columbus, Ohio. She was born 14, 1978 in Chillicothe, Ohio to Paul Douglas Ousley and Vicki Diane Sowers Ousley. Shelley was a 1996 graduate of Wellston High School. She was a registered nurse who received her Associates Degree in from Hocking and her BSN from Indiana Wesleyan University. Shelley, an enthusiastic Ohio State Buckeyes fan, enjoyed spending time with her family, who was very important to her, as well as time at the baseball field with her second family, the Black Sox team. She is survived by her husband, Jarrod Lee Rowe; step-children, Bailey and Janie Rowe; mother, Vicki Ousley of Wellston; father and step-mother, Doug and Jennett Tweet Ousley of Vinton; grandparents, Otis and Donna Sowers of Jackson; sisters, Amy Mullins of Wellston and Latasha Alvaro (Kristine) of Gallipolis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lenny and Patty Gambill of McDermott; sisters-in-law, Kelly Payton (Mitch) of Minford and Kari Teeters of Waverly, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, including special niece and nephew, Brooklyn and Brenden Mullins. Shelley is also survived by numerous cousins and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Tim and Mary Agnes Ousley. Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 .M. at the McWilliams in Wellston. service will be at 4 P.M. at the McWilliams with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary . Obituary: Private services will be held for Ruth Ann (Childers) Rowe of Unionville, Ohio, formerly of Mentor, and Euclid. Ruth passed away peacefully at The David Simpson Hospice House in Euclid Ohio on 4, 2015. A native of Bevinsville Kentucky born to Lona and Love Childers, Ruth came from a long line of tough resourceful mountain folk. A coal miners daughter with six siblings, Ruth learned the meaning of a good days work at an early age. Hers was the reassuring voice with a slight southern accent that greeted so many concerned callers over her years working for the Lake Hospital System. Her career included taking calls for various answering services on behalf of many members of the local medical community before joining the staff at Lake Hospital System, from where she retired in 2013. She came to Cleveland after graduating high school, as there were no jobs down home. She married Roger Lee Rowe of Cleveland Ohio in 1963. Born to be a mother, Ruth left Ohio Bell to raise her four children. She was a PTA member, a den mother, enjoyed gardening, reading, road trips with her family, and fishing on Lake Erie. She specialized in skinned knees, school projects, huge breakfasts, and sleepovers. She relished the noise and energy of her children and their friends surrounding her. Her hospitality and culinary prowess filled the Rowes house with kids throughout the 80s. She kept it full for many years caring for her cherished granddaughters. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roger Rowe; her children Julie, Glenn, Mary (Garry) Parrish, Jeanne (Jerry) Brafford; her grandchildren; Nicole Massie, Jodie Brafford, Crista, Halle, and Brooke Parrish, and one great-grandchild, Marla Massie; her siblings Ocie Parker, Dora Jean Slone, James Love (Merwonne) Childers, and Paula (Edward) Krause. Ruth was predeceased by her brother Covie, her sister Socie Little, and both of her parents. Her family suggests donations be made in her memory to the Hospice of the Western Reserve. |
