Obituary: It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Mr. Keith Albert Rye, a father, a brother, a friend, a devoted fiancé, and a stranger to nobody. Keith was born on 22, 1960 in Amory, Mississippi, to the late Wanda Lou Wilkes Rye and James Albert Rye. His grandmother, Cleat Wright Rye, was extremely influential in his faith and his walk with God. He left Mississippi after graduating high school and joined the U.S. Navy, where he served for 15 years. leaving the Navy, he started a very successful landscaping business in Kissimmee/St. Cloud, Florida, then later sold it to take a distribution management position with Roma Foods. For the past eleven years, he was employed as a truck driver for Food Lion. Keith was a man who walked with God and sought His direction in every aspect of life. His desire was always to honor God in how he lived and how he treated others. He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Kenny and David Rye. He is survived by his fiancé, Juliana R. Alioto, three children, Loren Becker of Winter Park, FL, Landon Rye of Amory, MS, and Paige Wallace, of Four Oaks, NC, two brothers, Kevin Rye, of Amory, MS and Craig Rye or Fairview, MS, a sister, Diane Ziehlke-Rye McNeill of Texas, a grandson, Aiden Becker of Winter Park, FL, and two life-long friends with whom he served in the Navy, Allen Hester of Angier and Michael Edwards of Greenville, NC. He will be remembered for his faith, his service to and pride in his country, his contagious friendliness, and his devotion to those close to him. The family will receive friends on , 12th from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at McLaurin in Clayton and , 15th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Pickle , 500 3rd Ave. S., Amory, MS. His memorial service will be held , 13th at 6:00 P.M. at Crossroads Church (XRC), 277 Guy Rd., Clayton, NC. Obituary: Kenyon J. Ryder age 71, passed on 17th unexpectedly. Mr. Ryder is survived by his wife, Terry, and three children: Shiloh Sickler, Adam Ryder, and Amy Ryder-Burge. He also leaves behind his brothers Steve Ryder and Chuck Ryder; his step-sons Matthew and Chris Carmean; and eight grandchildren: Victoria Misto, Anika Ryder, Luke Ryder, Ethan Ryder-Burge, Kingston Ryder-Burge, Sean Ryder-Burge, Aiden Carmean, and Mila Carmean. Ken is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served in the United States Coast Guard on the Eagle as a Damage Control Man. He was born to James and Marie Ryder in Chelsea, Massachusetts on 17th, 1945. He spent his childhood living all over the country including several years in Cartagena, Columbia. He raised his children in North Stonington, CT. He spent his life as a mechanic working on cars, woodworking and building almost anything. He was talented in creating new systems to improve his workshop and turn others’ ideas into reality. He was always helpful to anyone in need and, throughout his life, was the person to call to help fix anything at any hour, tools at the ready. The stories told, lessons taught, help provided, and love given lives on. Services will be held this at 11am at Pullen Memorial Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC. His ashes will join his parents in the Mystic River in Mystic, CT. |
