Obituary: Vertie Lee Robinson, 89, passed away peacefully on , 4, 2017. Mrs. Robinson was born 9, 1927 in Union , daughter of the late Remus and Carrie Threatt. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Carl Baxter Robinson; her five brothers and three sisters. Vertie was retired from Lance Packing in Charlotte. Visitation will be , 9, 2017 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm at McEwen of Monroe. Services to celebrate her life will follow at 2:00pm in the McEwen Colonial Chapel with Reverend Don Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte with the graveside service to be officiated by Pastor Jerry Woolery. Mrs. Robinson is survived by one son, Carl Dillon Robinson (Myra); one daughter, Sarah Robinson both of Charlotte; one grandchild, Erica Roberts (Chris) of Charlotte and one sister Ada Dill (Ed). Memorials may be sent to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 8947 Albemarle Road, Charlotte, NC 28227, or to the charity of your choice.
