Obituary: Leland Robinson 1939-2016 Gastonia – James Leland Robinson, 77 passed away peacefully on 21, 2016 at Gastonia Rehab and with his loving family by his side. He was born in Gaston on 15, 1939 to Leland Jenkins and Ruth Bailey Robinson. Leland enjoyed golf, fishing, and reading and loved to cook. He attended NC State and was an avid NC State Wolfpack fan. But most of all he loved being a grandpa and spending time with his family. He was a wonderful husband father, grandfather and friend. He retired from P.I.E. International as a supervisor in trucking transportation; and served in the U.S. Army for 6 years. Leland was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Gastonia. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Jane Grove Robinson; his children, James William Robinson (Betsy), Gregory Allen Robinson (Kim), Andrew Lloyd Robinson and Christine Anne Robinson; five grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth Smith (Justin), Emily Martin (Andrew), Matthew, Patrick and Faith Robinson. Family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:30 p.m., , 24th at Withers & Whisenant . A Service will be held at 5:00 p.m., 24th at Withers & Whisenant with Reverend Tim Smith and Military honors by the Gaston Honor Guard. Interment will be Private at Olney Presbyterian Church . Family expresses heartfelt appreciation to the administrative and nursing staff of Gaston Hospice and Gastonia and Rehabilitation for their dedicated and loving care extended to their family. Obituary: Lee Robinson, 86, of Mint Hill, NC passed away 12, 2015. He was born in Ellerbe, NC on 10, 1929. Lee graduated from high school in Charlotte and attended Kings Business . He was married to Martha Marty Lawing on 11, 1966. Lee served in the Air Force from 1951 - 1953, where he was stationed in Florida and Hawaii. He was a member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church where he was active in the Philadelphia School class. Lee worked in a number of companies including Friden, Metal Service Corporation, and Estul Tool Manufacturing . He was also President of Robinson Engraving Service from the late 1970s until just a few weeks prior to his death. He was very mechanically talented and could build almost anything and fix almost anything. He seldom asked for outside help from contractors or other professionals because he could do it best himself. His standards for himself and others were very high. He also fought a brave battle with bladder cancer. Lee was preceded in death by his father, Fred Robinson, mother Sallie Robinson, brothers Marshall Robinson, Preston Press Robinson, Paul Robinson, and sister, Belle Robinson Campbell. He is survived by his wife, Marty Robinson, two children, Sharon Robinson and Brian Robinson, and by his dog, Coco Robinson, who loved him perhaps most of all. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from six until eight oclock in the evening on , the 16th of , 2015 at McEwen Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. A funeral service will be held at one oclock in the afternoon on , the 17th of , 2015 at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church with a visitation held one hour prior to the service. Rev. Rusty Benton and Rev. Lee Koontz will be officiating the service. Interment to follow in Sharon Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the Levine Cancer Institute, especially Dr. Earle Burgess and his nurse, Pam, and Novant Matthews nursing staff and Hospice staff for his care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 7714 Bain School Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 or to Hospice, 324 North McDowell Street, Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28204. Obituary: Kevin David Robinson, 55, passed away on Jan. 20, 2016 after complications from brain surgery. Kevin was born in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada on 16, 1960 to Patricia and Ronald Robinson. While most of his family was separated by hundreds of miles in another country, Kevin always took time to reach out to his family by phone and remained close with his two sons in Raleigh. Kevin is survived by the mother to his children, Tracy Robinson; sister Keitha Black, brothers Doug Robinson and Brad Robinson; two children Scott Robinson (28) and Nick Robinson (26); grandchildren Emily Robinson-Salvador (10) and Caitlyn Robinson-Salvador (8); nephews Matthew Robinson (31), Kyle Robinson (28) and Ian Robinson (25). As a programmer at LabCorp, Kevin spent more than a decade honing his craft in a leadership role at the company. During his time off, Kevin enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, SyFy channel and building computers while spending time with his Dachsund, Boston, and cat, Emma, with a cold A&W root beer. He enjoyed going out to dinner with his sons and playing with his granddaughters. Services will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612.
