Obituary: DARCY BOYD ROUSE 1931 – 2015 Darcy Boyd Rouse age 83 of Murray, NE passed away peacefully on , 10, 2015 at the Independence House at Northview in Lincoln, NE. Boyd was born on 28, 1931 to Darcy Edgar and Neva Ethyel (Snow) Rouse in Decatur, NE. He was raised and schooled in Tekamah, NE and graduated from Tekamah High School with the class of 1949. Boyd was a proud Eagle Scout with Troop # 158 in Tekamah. high school, he attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture in 1953. He met the love of his life, Bonnie Jean Meisinger and they were later married on 17, 1952 at Mynard Liberty Methodist Church in Mynard, NE. graduating from college, Boyd served his country in the US Army for four years and he was stationed overseas in Germany. Boyd and Bonnie made their home and raised their children in Murray, NE. Boyd was a husband, dad, grandpa, and worked as a farmer. He was a member of Plattsmouth Masonic Lodge #6 A.F. and A.M., Order of Eastern Star Chapter #189, and Plattsmouth Toastmasters Club all of Plattsmouth. He served as the Cass Republican Chair, 4-H Leader, Nebraska Soybean Board, Murray School Board, Cass Fair Board, Cass Livestock Feeders, and director of Capitol Pork Producers. He was a past Kass Kounty King Korn Karnival King and a Scout Leader with Troop 471 in Murray. Boyd is survived by his three sons: Bradley Rouse of Fort Collins, CO, Brian Rouse and wife Kim of Murray, NE, Bruce Rouse and wife Brenda of Omaha, NE, daughter: Brenda Siffring and husband Edwin of David City, NE, nine grandchildren: John Rouse, Ian Rouse, Carly Buskirk, Alexandra Rouse, True Siffring, Julia Buskirk, Nathan Rouse, Zeke Rouse, Rachael Rouse, sister: Ramona Hawkins of Fremont, NE, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Darcy and Neva Rouse, wife Bonnie Rouse, granddaughter: Janae Rouse, sister: Jean Grothe, and son-in-law: Dale Buskirk. The Service will be held at 10:30 A.M., , 17, 2015 at Mynard Liberty Methodist Church in Mynard, with Pastor Belinda Davidson officiating and Edith McCaw as organist. Visitations will be held from 1:00 to 9:00 P.M., with family greeting relatives and friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., , 16, 2015 at Roby in Plattsmouth. The Pallbearers will be John Rouse, Ian Rouse, Carly Buskirk, Alexandra Rouse, True Siffring, Julia Buskirk, Nathan Rouse, Zeke Rouse, and Rachael Rouse. Military Rites will be conducted by Lepert Wolever V.F.W. Post #2543 of Plattsmouth. The family suggests memorials to the Nebraska State Stroke Association. |
