Obituary: Rowe, Dr. Joseph J. Dr. Joseph James Rowe, M.D. of Dearborn, Michigan, passed away 19, 2015. He was born to Joseph Sr. and Ann Rowe on 9, 1924 in Newark, NJ. graduating from St. Benedict’s, he attended Seton Hall University. Joe served as a Corpsman in the US Navy during WWII and completed his Medical Degree at Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia, PA. Joe became a respected Obstetrician & Gynecologist and practiced at Providence, Annapolis and Oakwood Hospitals. He delivered or assisted in over 10,000 births, he was one of the founders of the Garden City Medical and served as Chief of Staff of Annapolis Hospital. Joe is survived by 6 of his 8 children; Maureen (Gerald), Ellen (Lew), Patty, Marty, Michael (Shannon), and Kathy (Chris), 19 grandchildren and his long time friend, Barbara Mepyans. He is preceded in death by his late wife Marie and his sons Joseph and Gregory (Jill Rowe). Visitation on , 22, 1-4 pm and 6-9 pm at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson , 22546 Michigan Ave. Mass will be held on , 23, 11:00 am, at St. Kateri Catholic Church, 16101 Rotunda Drive, Dearborn. In state at 10:30 am. Burial at St Hedwig . In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Team Greg c/o the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in Las Vegas (http://pages.lightthennight.org/snv/LasVagas15/teamgreg) or Oakwood Common Scholarship Fund, 16351 Rotunda Drive, Dearborn, MI. |
