Obituary: LINDA L. ROBINSON Linda Robinson, died peacefully on May 20, 2015, in her residence in St. Clair Shores, MI. She was born in Newport News, Virginia, to James N. and Vennie H. Robinson. Her father was an executive at the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock ; her mother was a Registered Nurse prior to her marriage. Linda spent her youth in Newport News before leaving for Frederick, Maryland, where she graduated from Hood with a BA in Political Science. She spent her working career with Phillip Morris, maintaining her residence in Richmond, Virginia. She was hired as a secretary but soon worked her way up through the organization to become the first woman executive in the Richmond office. Ms. Robinson earned her Master of Business Administration at the University of Richmond, the first woman to be sponsored by her company for graduate education. She retired from Phillip Morris in 1998 as Purchasing Manager and remained in the Richmond area until 2011 whereupon she moved to Michigan to be closer to her sister and her family. Linda was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Newport News, Virginia. She was also an associate member of Grosse Pointe Memorial Church, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI. As a young child, Linda studied and became accomplished in piano as well as the organ. In her youth, she frequently played the organ in her hometown church. Linda enjoyed classical music, literature, theatre, gardening, crafts, sewing cooking, entertaining, water aerobics, traveling (especially with her sister and family, including business trips abroad) volunteer work for her local library and public television. She was sensitive to the needs of others and supported generously organizations helping children and those with special needs. Most important to Linda was her family. She was devoted to her parents, sister, brother-in-law, nephew, niece and nieces family. She was selfless in all her endeavors and was loved beyond measure by her family and many others whose paths she crossed. Survivors are her sister Ann (Gordon) Robinson Willett of Grosse Pointe Farms, her nephew, Dr. James Gordon Willett of Denver, Colorado, her niece Lindsay Willett (Dan) Needle, grandniece, Mallory Piper Needle of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. Lindas mother and father preceded her in death. A memorial service will be held on , May 29, 2015, 4 PM at the Grosse Pointe Memorial Church where she was an associate member. Internment will take place at a later date in Newport News, Virginia. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Grosse Pointe Memorial Church Music Fund, 16 Lakeshore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236 or Trinity United Methodist Church, 228 29th St., Newport News, VA 23607, or to any charity serving childrens needs. |

Obituary: Leonard E. Lenny Robinson, was born on 9, 1934 in Royal Oak Michigan to John & Thelma (nee: Osbourne) Robinson. He passed away in Warren, Michigan on Nov. 14, 2014. Mr. Robinson attended Hazel Park High School and answered his countrys call enlisting in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Returning from service, Lenny started work with Michigan Bell and was a Pioneer. He retired after 42 years of service as a splicing technician and O-niner. His hobbies included playing poker with his friends at Park Place, reading and watching anything on the History and Discovery Channels. He loved his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his wife of 57 years, unconditionally. Surviving is his beloved wife Marlene F. (nee: Kaminski); children, Mark Robinson, Penny Pena, and Kevin (Kristy Upper) Robinson. Also survived by grandchildren, Christopher (Jamie Jenkins) Robinson, Erica Pena and Lauren Upper, six great-grandchildren: Wayne, Brooke, Nevaeh, Destenee, Blake and new baby Brian; two sisters, Jackie (Eugene) Renshaw, Donna (Ronnie) Ziegler. Special thanks to Dennis and MaryAnn Kaminski and also in-laws: Tommy (Sue) Kaminski, Kenny (Debbie) Kaminski, Diane (Ron) Dlugokenski, Cheryl (Mark) Stiller and Cathy Kaminski and the late James Kaminski.
