Obituary: Stephen Risner, Sr,. age 76, died , 30, 2015 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren. Stephen was born 18, 1939 in Detroit , son of the late Chester and the late Ida (nee: Owens) Risner. Mr. Risner worked for Triple A Industries in Troy as a Process Engineer overseeing the production of parts for the aviation industry. As one would expect with the position he held, he had a tremendous love of geometry and math. Stephen was always pushing himself to learn more. He was an early adopter of computers and actually taught himself CAD Cam. Not only did Mr. Risner use his handyman skills and technical savvy at work, he often put his skills to work creating, building, and repairing things at home,...even to the extent of building boats! Stephen was a music aficionado, he loved jazz and classic rock, often jamming out on his reel player mornings to the likes of: Santanta, Pink Floyd, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Frank Sinatra, to name a few. Mr. Risner was also an avid deer hunter who enjoyed his time spent in the woods waiting for the perfect deer to enter his cross hairs. His love of the woods also translated to many memorable family camping trips as well. Family trips were always special to Stephen; it was at these times that he was able to spend time with the ones he loved the most. Mr. Risners love of family started with his parents, Chester & Ida, with whom he maintained a close bond unto his final days. It was his parents who taught him to love, and it was this guidance that helped him share his entire heart with his loving wife and devoted children. He often boasted about his children and how proud he was of the people they had become. As Stephens children grew and married, they would eventually provide him the ultimate gift,...his precious grandchildren. Many of Mr. Risners most cherished memories were those spent on the floor playing with his grandchildren. Mr. Risner was very proud of his country, and a true patriot, despite never having served in the military. Stephen loved studying our nations history, especially the strategic planning and execution of the Allied Forces in WW II. His patriotism would grow even stronger following the events of 9/11. Watching the fall of the World Trade towers inspired Stephen to become even more deeply involved with both social and political events. Mr. Risner was the devoted husband to his little angel Kathleen. He was the proud father of Lori Marie (Dan) Murphy (nee Risner), Stephen (Sandra) Risner Jr., James Jason Risner, William (Kristi) Shorter, and Patricia (Jason) Bajaj. He was the beloved brother of Arnie, the late Larry, and the late Chester. He is also survived by his 10 very special grandchildren; Zachary, Tyler & Keaira Murphy; Caitlin Mae; Larry; Chloe, Ethan & Austin Shorter, and Brayden Bajaj. Visitation for Stephen will be held , 2nd from 5-9 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons , 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. Obituary: Ray Risner 86 of Union City, died 4, 2014. He was born 2, 1927 in New Haven, Ohio to George and Della (Likens) Risner. Ray was the founder and owner of Ray Risner and Sons Roofing in Union City with the business being over 50 years old. He was a veteran of WWll, a member of the Athens VFW, Quincy American Legion, Coldwater Eagles and the Moose Lodge. He attended the Burlington Church of God, loved country music, the Detroit Tigers, golf and hunting. Ray is survived by his children Diana (Stan) Albright of Coldwater, Linda (Lloyd) Smith of Burlington, Brenda (Curt) Goodman of Union City, Duane (Babe) Risner of Union City, Duke Risner of Union City and Dale Ledbetter of Texas. Brothers and sisters Elmer, David, Frank, Richard, and Larry Risner, Ruth Ann Patrick, Josephine Baily and Barbara (Donald) Patrick. Also, many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Betty, sons Boone and Doug Risner, four brothers, Elmer, Ollie, Ted and Clayton, and one sister Doralee Howard. Obituary: Mitchell Risner, 63, of Jackson Michigan passed away on 14, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mitchell was born on 7, 1952, in Gullett (Magoffin ) Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his mother Lucille (Perkins) Risner and his father George Risner. Mitchell is survived by his loving wife of thirty years Wendy (Johnson) Risner, their son Michael and his wife Michelle (Molden) and their children Maisey and Marek; and Mitchs faithful yellow lab, Cindy Lou. Also survived by Mitchells family, Tom Ray Risner, Morris Risner, Eddie Risner, Sue Dell Risner, Janice Risner, and Becky Anderson; Wendys family, Mary Anne and Mark Sayers, Tony and Toni Johnson, Joseph Johnson and Lisa Stratil, Dr. Steven and Kristi Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. Mitch was a Certified Journeyman Tool and Die maker. He enjoyed cooking, hunting, fishing, trips to Turkeyville and gun and knife shows.
