Obituary: LEWISTON: Nancy Lou (Giasson) Rioux, 59, a lifelong resident of Lewiston, died 15. She was born in Lewiston, 21, 1955, the daughter of the late Romeo and Donetta (Cyr) Giasson. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1974 and married Laurier C. Rioux on 14, 1974. Nancy was an avid fan of both the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. Her family remembers Nancy as always being he life of the party. At family gatherings, she will be dearly missed. Nancy was a loving mother to her two sons, Christopher and Matthew and especially devoted as a caregiver to Matthew, who is autistic. She is survived by her husband of 39 years and her two sons, all of Lewiston, her sisters Joan Mahon and her husband Guy and Carol White-St. Pierre and her husband Dan; her brother Ron Giasson and his wife Joanne, her sister-in-law, Kathy Giasson all of Auburn, a brother Ron Faucher and his wife Dusti of Hobe Sound, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother James Giasson and her brothers-in-law Larry White and Paul Rioux and mother and father-in-law Emile and Lorette Rioux. Obituary: Jean-Marie Joseph Rioux, 84, of Lewiston passed away at his residence May 16, 2011. He was born 9, 1927 in Lisbon a son of the late William and Zoraide (Morency) Rioux. Jean-Marie served in the US Navy and later became an Electronic Technician. He will be remembered by his family as a man of religious faith. Jean-Marie enjoyed woodworking, having made many cabinets for his family and friends. He enjoyed going out to restaurants to eat and watching the ships come in at Fort Williams. In his spare time he would spend many hours on his computer. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Fleurette (Samson) Rioux of Auburn, his children: Ronald Rioux and his wife Brenda of S. Portland, Gerry Rioux and his wife Patricia of Leeds, Nancy Barry and her husband Robert of Greene, Real Rioux and his wife Lorraine of Falmouth, and Dorothy Hutchinson and her husband Dana of Auburn; his siblings: Stella Chaloux and her husband Marcel of Lewiston, Normand Rioux and his wife Lindsey of Raymond, and Daniel Rioux and his wife Rita of Lewiston; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Jean-Marie will also be missed by special friends Dick and Lynn Levesque. Jean-Marie was predeceased by his siblings: Antonio Rioux, Rita Lemelin, Bibiane Langlois, Bernadette Boucher, Marie-Ange Fournier, Gerard Rioux, Benoit Rioux, and Dominic Rioux; and his granddaughter Jennifer Barry. Obituary: Auburn - Fleurette S. Rioux, age 86, of Jefferson St. in Auburn, died evening 1st at The Hospice House with family at her side. She was born in Lewiston 7, 1930, one of three children born to Romuald and Imelda (Bilodeau) Samson. Fleurette was educated in local school and remained a lifelong resident of this community. On 8, 1949, she married Jean-Marie Rioux and together they settled in Auburn to raise their family. He predeceased her on May 16, 2011. Fleurette worked for many years in clothing retail as a sales associate at JC Penney until her retirement. As she and Jean-Marie raised their family, she was a member of Sacred Heart Church and in later years, attended the former St. Mary's Church for a time and more recently, the Basilica of Ss Peter and Paul. Fleurette greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grandchildren and was a very avid reader. In younger years, she enjoyed walking at Mount Apatite in Auburn. She also enjoyed going to out to eat, taking drives to see nature's scenery and Fall foliage and shopping for antiques. She also thoroughly enjoyed the company of her cat Sassy and dogs Cocoa and Bosco. Fleurette was a loving, devoted and hardworking wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She leaves behind her five children Ronald Rioux and wife Brenda of South Portland, Gerald Rioux and wife Patricia of Leeds, Nancy Rioux, Real Rioux and wife Lorraine of Falmouth and Dottie Hutchinson and husband Dana of Auburn; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister Jacqueline Mathieu of Lewiston and three nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jean-Marie, a brother Fernand Samson and a granddaughter Jennifer Barry. Obituary: Rumford \ Carmel Collette Rioux, age 79, of Gilbert Ave, passed away at her residence on 11, 2015 with loving family at her side following a brief illness. She was born in Rumford, Maine on 12, 1935 a daughter of Joseph S. and Octavie (Goulet) Collette. Carmel was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School Class of 1953. She was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. Carmel married John Rioux on 18, 1956, together they celebrated 48 years of marriage, he passed away on 29, 2004. She was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella. Carmel loved knitting and family trips to Canada. The most precious thing in her life was family. Surviving are her children; Susan Rioux of Rumford, Hyjek and husband Peter of Willington, CT; and Jack Rioux and wife Lori of Winthrop; two sisters, Jeanne Collette of Rumford, and Louise Mangarelli of Rumford; a brother, Maurice Collette; six grandchildren, Jenifer, Jason, Jacob, Jonathan, Amber and Andy; five great grandchildren; and two nephews Mike and Matt Mangarelli. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband John, and two sons, James and Joseph, a granddaughter Jo-Ann, a sister Yvette and a brother Roland.
