Obituary: Wilma Parker Redman, 93, died peacefully at the Maine Medical in Portland, Maine, on 7, 2015.
Wilma was born in Gorham, Maine, on 11, 1921, the daughter of Joseph E. Parker and Edith Graves Parker. Wilma attended Gorham schools, where she was a star athlete and honors student. She graduated from Westbrook Junior (now the University of New England) in 1941, and finished her formal education at Connecticut for Women two years later. In 1945, upon his return from the war, Wilma married Charles W. Redman, Jr. Together they raised two sons, Joseph Parker Redman, also of Portland, and Charles W. Redman, III, of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. nearly 70 years of marriage, Charles, Jr. pre-deceased Wilma in of last year.
In addition to her family, Wilma dedicated her life to working for the community. She was an active member and served on the boards of many local non-profit organizations, including the United Way, Portland Symphony Orchestra, Portland Museum of Art, and Portland Stage . She and Charles were loyal season ticket holders at Portland Stage for many years and delighted in helping bring top quality theater to the area.
She was a loyal alumna of Connecticut ; and up to the end of her life served UNE in many capacities, including as past Chairman of the Board of Trustees. She was a Deborah Morton inductee in 1981 and received an Honorary Doctor of Letters from UNE in 2002 among the many honors bestowed upon her for her dedication to the college.
Wilma was an accomplished cook and devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan. She enjoyed reading and spending summers with her extended family at their cottages on Little Sebago Lake. She loved a good joke and never shied away from providing valued advice whenever solicited.
Wilma is survived by her son, Joseph, and his wife, Jayne, and son, Julian; and by Charles, his wife, Melissa, and three grandchildren, Rebecca, James, and Michael, along with numerous nephews and nieces.
Wilma was pre-deceased by her sisters, Eleanor and Louise, and by their husbands, Clinton D. Merrill and P. Heyward James, respectively.
The family would like to acknowledge the many years of loving and nurturing assistance Wilma received from her team of caregivers, Bonnie Lou Randall, Judy Caparratto , Tonya Arsenault, Lori Chase, Anastasia Belova, and Linda Quimby
A celebration of Wilmas life is scheduled for 2 pm on , May 8, 2015, at the UNE Campus, 716 Stevens Ave. Portland, 04103.

Obituary: Charles Whitney Redman, Jr., 94, died peacefully at his home in Portland after a long illness.
Charles was born in Corinna, Maine, on 15, 1920, the son of Charles and Carrie Mae Redman. Soon the family moved to Bangor, where Charles attended Bangor public schools. He graduated from Bangor High School in 1938 as President of his class. He graduated from Bowdoin in 1942, where he was a member of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity, and went directly to Officers Training School, graduating as a Lieutenant, J.G.
He was ordered to the South Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II, where he served for nearly two years, mostly on the Destroyer USS Bennion. returning to the States in 1945, he married Wilma Parker; and they lived in Norfolk and Boston, MA.
his time in the Navy was completed, Charles joined the Milliken Tomlinson and worked for a time in each of the companys branches, returning to Portland in 1956. He rose to become President and served in that role until the company was sold, after which he retired.
retiring, Charles was appointed by the city as a Director of the Portland Fish Exchange. He served enthusiastically with the Exchange, bringing some of his business techniques to its administration. The Exchange building on Commercial Street in Portland is named in his honor. He enjoyed many friendships among the members of the fishing community as a result of his service in the Exchange board.
Charles was also a founding director of the Maine Cancer Research Foundation.
He enjoyed tennis, skiing and bird hunting. Some of his happiest days were spent at Old Gardens, the family farm in East Cornith; Shangri-la, his hunting camp on Second Musquacook Lake; and at Sheldrake Point on Little Sebago Lake.
Charles is survived by his wife, Wilma, and two sons, Joseph P. and his wife Jayne and son, Julian; and Charles III and his wife Melissa and three grandchildren, Rebecca, James and Michael. He is also survived by his sister Lucy Mae and her husband, Bruce Munger, and their children, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Charles was predeceased by a brother, Chandler, and his wife, Marjorie; and his sister, Mary Jane, and her husband, Robert Whittier.
The family would also like to acknowledge the loving and nurturing care given to him by Charles caregivers, Bonnie Randall, Judith Caparratto, Tonya Arsenault, Anastasia Belova and Linda Quimby, as well as his Hospice Nurse, Ann Marie Chandler.

Obituary: Herman R. Redlevske,90, of Mercer, passed away 2, 2013,peacefully at home surrounded by his family in Mercer, Maine.
He was born in New Sharon, Maine, the son of William F. Redlevske and Margaret (Rollins) Redlevske.
Herman graduated from New Sharon High School in the class of 1940. He then served in the US Army during WWII as a Sargent in the 359th Infantry, 90 Division; he was in the European Theatre, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central European Campaigns. He was also Sargent of the guard at the Nuremberg Prison in Germany.
He married the former C. Faye Lane on 8, 1947 in Skowhegan, Maine.
Herman spent most of his life as a self-employed logger and trucker, also helping run a dairy farm and in the summer he worked for the State of Maine Department of Transportation as a trucker.
He was a member of the Mercer United Methodist Church and a past member of the Community Club in Mercer. He loved his garden, his raspberry patch and pumpkin patch. He loved reading historical books, westerns, watching westerns on TV, traveling. He was a proud veteran and proud to have served in WWII. He loved the time he spent with his family especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife of 65 years, Faye of Mercer, he leaves his two daughters; Sharon Lambert and her husband Dennis of Mercer, Deborah Farley and her husband James of Chesterville, his two brothers; Harvard Redlevske of Mercer, Wilmer Redlevske and his wife Marlene of Mercer, his sister, Leona Bean and her husband Robert of Vienna, his five grandchildren; Diana, Paula, Matthew, Aaron, and Megan, his seven great-grandchildren; Breanna, Ryan, Riley, Adalyn, Makayla, Amber, A.J., and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, his two sisters; Dorothy True and Lorraine Foss, his four brothers; Norman, Alton, and infant twin brothers.
Viewing hours will be held on 6, 2013 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Smart & Edwards , 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine, with a funeral service to follow at the funeral home at 3 p.m. A committal service will be held in the spring at the Village in New Sharon, Maine.

Obituary: C. Faye Redlevske, 92, of Chesterville and formerly of Mercer, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on 26, 2016 in Chesterville.
She was born May 18, 1923 in New Sharon, Maine, the daughter of Parker and Zoedella Lane.
Faye graduated from New Sharon High School. She then attended Gates Business School upon graduation she became employed by Central Maine Power in the a office.
She married Herman Redlevske on 8, 1947, he passed away in 2014.
marriage, she and her husband resided on the farm in Mercer; she did the bookkeeping for her husbands business. She was also employed by G.H. Bass in Wilton getting done to care for her father in-law. She also was a child care provider.
She was very active in the Mercer Methodist Church and the Mercer Old Days serving on various committees and fundraisers. She was a school teacher, youth fellowship leader and a Girl Scout Brownie Troop Leader.
She loved to bake and tend her flower gardens. She also enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. She was always there to lend a hand to family, friends and community.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and siblings Lester, Chester, and Clifford Brann, Parker Lane, and Della Lane Eller.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Lambert and husband Dennis, Deborah Farley and husband James; grandchildren, Diana Martin and husband Steve and children Breanna and Ryan; Paula Tan and husband Michael and daughters Riley and Adalyn; Matthew Gordon and wife Elizabeth and daughters Amber and Alexandra; Aaron Gordon and wife Chrissy and children Makayla and Aaron Jr., and Megan Gordon.
A service will be held on 4, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards , 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine and a burial will take place in the spring at the Village in New Sharon.
