Obituary: MILFORD - Octave J. Raymond, 77, died 27, 2016, at Maine Veterans , Bangor. He was born 12, 1938, the 5 th of 12 children, born to the late Joseph and Lydia (Belanger) Raymond. He attended Old Town schools and was a life-long member of Holy Family Parish. He proudly served his country in the Army, Air Force and National Guard. Octave was a carpenter by trade and managed and maintained various rental properties during his career. Octave always enjoyed a good practical joke, especially when he was not on the receiving end. He had a big heart and loved his family, and had a special place in his heart for his many dogs he had over the years, all named Spike. Octave is survived by two sisters, Alfreda Mower and Theresa Ouellette; five brothers, Father Wilfred, Edmond, Richard, Gerald and Deacon Hector; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Ramona King and Winnifred Searle; and brothers, Ovila and Edward. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. 11, 2016, at the Birmingham , 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. , 12, 2016 with Rev. Wilfred Raymond, celebrant at Parish of the Resurrection, Holy Family Church, Old Town. A light luncheon will be served in the Parish Hall. Spring burial with full military honors will be conducted at St. Joseph , Old Town. Memorial contributions may be made to an animal Rescue Charity of one's choice or to the Holy Family Parish building fund, 429 Main St., Old Town, ME 04468. |

Obituary: MILFORD-Michael C. Raymond, 67, died 9, 2013 at a Bangor hospital. He was born Sept 7, 1946 in Caribou a son of Gordon and Thelma (Rackliffe) Raymond. Michael proudly served with the US Army in Vietnam. Following his discharge, he used his GI Bill and was a 1972 graduate of EMVTI, Bangor. He spent his entire working life as an electrician and worked at various employers but especially enjoyed his time at St. Joseph Hospital and the Air National Guard. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with friends at family at hunting camp in Atkinson. The weekend nights were spent at Happy Acres, Alton, sharing many good times and good music. He enjoyed woodworking and wood carving and will certainly be remembered for his various animal carving especially waterfowl. Above all else, Michael, was a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by a longtime companion Carol Pencak of Milford; two children Jonathan Raymond and wife Donna of Biddeford, Melanie Watson and companion Saul Gideon of Exeter; six grandchildren Aaron Martel, Sarah Martel, Abigail Raymond, Emma Raymond, Mark Watson, and Matthew Watson; 2 sisters Sharon Morin and her husband Joe of Milford, Jennine Quinn and her companion Doug Downs; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Saundra Sandy Sherburne. A celebration of life will be conducted 12:00-3:00 PM at Happy Acres, Bennoch Road, Alton.
