Obituary: Lawrence C. Robert, Jr. died , 2, 2011 after a courageous struggle with younger-onset Alzheimers disease. He was 63 years old. A New Orleans native, Larry was a graduate of Jesuit High School and Loyola University. As a Certified Public Accountant and Investment Broker, he spent his career in the financial services and insurance industries, retiring from UBS Financial Services, Inc. as First Vice President of Investments. Larry loved to teach sports to young people. He was a former teacher and coach at Archbishop Rummel High School, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School, and St. Christopher School as well as a volunteer coach at St. Angela Merici School and at Lakeshore Playground. He is survived by his wife, Claire Blaine Robert, and his sons, Lawrence Keenan Robert and Alexander Blaine Robert. He is also survived by his brother Br. Benedict L. Robert, OSB, his sisters Catherine R. Boesch, Violet R. Tipple, Jeanne R. Dalton, Mary Ellen R. Steele, Elaine R. Ward, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie W. Robert and Lawrence C. Robert, and his brother, Michael A. Robert. Visitation will take place on , 7, at 10:00 A.M. until Noon with a Mass immediately following at Noon at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 444 Metairie Rd. Metairie. Burial will be private. Obituary: Josephine Mary Guercio Robert, age 84, passed peacefully on 23, 2017. Born and raised in White Castle, Louisiana, Josie relocated to Baton Rouge with her family in 1971. Her Italian heritage was evident in her sassy nature and jokester ways. She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting special items for friends and loved ones. She was known for her strength, her unwavering faith, and her deep and abiding love for family. She was a devoted nurses aide at Grace and Rehabilitation for numerous years. Josie leaves behind three children and their spouses, Pete and Maria (Robert) Peterson, Bernard Red and Kimberlynn (Stewart) Robert Jr., and Michael Mike and Anita (Ross) Robert. Josie was blessed with ten grandchildren, Bernard Robert III, Brandi Robert, Brenna Robert and (Chad) Merritt, Taylor Peterson, BreeAnn Robert and (Josias) Fowler, Brandon Robert (Salena), Lyndsey Quirk, Brooke Robert, Abigail Quirk, and Jude Robert. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mary (Sciortino) Guercio, as well as five siblings, Sam Blue Guercio III, Camella Guercio Morris, Anthony A.J. Guercio, Russell Guercio, and Jo Marie Guercio Norred. Josie also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews. The pallbearers will be Bernard Robert III, Taylor Peterson, Brandon Robert, Chad Merritt, Josias Fowler, and Jeff Champagne. The honorary pallbearer is Jude Robert. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Timothy Lindsey and staff at Daniel Clinic in Saint Francisville, the staff at Grace and Rehabilitation in Slaughter and Hospice of Baton Rouge. Obituary: John A. Robert passed away on , 27, 2011 at the age of 87 after a brief illness. Born 8, 1924 in Crowley, LA. Graduated from Bolton High School in 1942. Served this country in the Army during World War II (Europe). He retired from Shell Oil in 1984. As a Metairie resident from 1961, he was a founding member of 2 Catholic churches, St. Benilde and St. Edward the Confessor. This loving, generous and charitable man was a devoted husband to the late Alice Blaeser Robert for 44 years. He was the son of the late Frank Sill Robert and Wilda Meginley of Crowley, LA and stepson of Adele S. of Cottonport, LA. He is greatly missed by his surviving family: son, Douglas B. (Stephanie), daughter, Gail R. Weilbaecher (Maurice, Jr.), four grandsons: Andre M., Timothy B.(Jennifer), Stephen D. (Stephanie), and Joseph C. and four great-grandsons: twins Noah and Nathan, Caleb and Stephen Lucas and one brother: William R. Robert. She was a longtime resident of New Orleans and married her loving husband Jules Charles Robert in 1952, having been widowed in 1964. She was predeceased by her husband and her parents. Preceded in death by her husband, Curtis J. Robert; parents, Aureline and Alcide Landry; one sister, Odette Landry; and two brothers, Ulysse Slim Landry and Noe Landry. Visitation will be held on , 1, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Donaldsonville. Entombment to follow in church mausoleum.
