Obituary: Sandi Rabe, age 44, of Primghar, Iowa, passed away on , 30, 2014 at Baum Harmon Mercy Hospital in Primghar, Iowa. Memorial Services will be , 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Sheldon, Iowa. Rev. Craig Nissen officiating. Visitation will be , 4, from 1:00 to 8:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Andringa Sheldon Service in Sheldon. Sandi Jean Rabe was born on 14, 1969 in Hartley, Iowa. She is the daughter of Richard and Eleanor (Blom) Behrens. Sandi lived her youth in Primghar, Iowa where she attended school. She was united in marriage to Steven Michael Rabe of Primghar on 31, 2004 in Sanborn, Iowa. lived in Primghar and were very devoted to each other. Sandi worked at Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon, Iowa for the past 20 years in a waiver home at 1520 Pine Street in Sheldon and participated in many educational classes through NCC. She was a baptized member of the American Reformed Church in Primghar, Iowa. Sandi enjoyed social networking and traveling to visit her children and grandchildren. She loved her family dearly. Her home was her castle and Halloween was her favorite day of the year and extended it throughout the year. She enjoyed her cats and babied them. She will be remembered as a practical joker. She passed away on , 30, 2014 at Baum Harmom Mercy Hospital in Primghar. Obituary: LaVonne L. Rabe, 80, of Bettendorf passed away on , 23, 2017 at Genesis East. services will be held at 12:00 noon on 28, 2017 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park . Memorials may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospitals. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. She was born Feruary 1, 1937 in Davenport, IA, daughter of Joseph and Verlia Rabe. She graduated from Marycrest and Taught Elementry School in Riverdale, Pleasant Valley. She worked at Bituminaus Insurance in Rock Island, where she retired. She then opened the LeCole DeMusique School of Music, where she taught in her later years. LaVonne loved to travel and teach. She was known for her kindness with children. Those left to honor her memory include her brother, Dan (Terri) Rabe, Davenport; and nephews, Dan (Laurie) and Pat Purcell, Davenport and great nephews Logan and Will. In addition to her parents LaVonne was preceded in death by a sister, Verlia Purcell and a brother-in-law, Jack Purcell. |
