Obituary: Loretta P. Raye, age 82, of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully on , 18, 2014. The daughter of late Walter and Helen (Senney) Prueter was born 21, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois. Loretta attended Morton High School. She worked as the bookkeeper at Country Gas in Crystal Lake until her retirement. She then worked at Tom's Vegetable Market in Huntley and volunteered for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Salvation Army, and many other charities. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for 59 years where she was a faithful volunteer in many roles. She is survived by her children, Frank Raye, Bill (Karen) Raye, Sharon (Marty) Goldman and Diane (Tom) Leeming; grandchildren Leslie (Charlie) Dahlin, Jessica Raye, Emily Goldman, Rebecca Goldman, Tyler Raye and Corey Leeming; great-grandchildren Jordan and Easton Dahlin; sisters Ruth Sorenson and Gayle Robb; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Jackie and Jim Pupelis; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Steven Raye, who lost his battle to Cystic Fibrosis in 1987. A visitation service will be held , 21st between 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Querhammer 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. A celebration of Loretta's life will be held , 22nd at 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 178 McHenry Avenue, Crystal Lake, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
