Obituary: M. Helen Ryun, 97, passed away on , 26, 2014 at Broward and Rehabilitation in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Helen was born in Silvis, IL and had been a resident of Sebastian for 34 years coming from Coal Valley, IL. Following World War II, Helen had volunteered at Iowa City VA Hospital helping the War veterans. She had also worked as a dark room technician at Illini Hospital for 3 years in Silvis, IL. Helen had been a member of B# Square Dance Campers Club. She enjoyed travelling and RVing and was a collector of antique glass. Helen was of the Baptist faith. Survivors are her three children; Sharon Williams of Margate, FL; Robert Laxy, of Moline, IL; Deborah Marshall, of Wilmington, MA; 9 grandchildren, 22 great -grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Ryun, her first husband, Harold Laxy and her three brothers, Harry Evans, Jim Evans and Dick Evans.. A Visitation will be held 12 to 1 pm on , 7, 2014 with a Service at 1pm at Aycock in Fort Pierce, FL. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Fort Pierce, FL. Obituary: Shawn Alexander Ryster, 30, of Hahira, Ga. passed away on , Dec. 8, 2014 in Valdosta, Ga. He was born in Palatka, FL on 24, 1984. Shawn was a Project Manager at PCA Mill, and was a proud graduate of FSU, where he obtained his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. Shawn was a very devoted husband and father and loved his family very much. He was very passionate about the role that he played in everyones life. His family, his job, and FSU held a special place in his heart. As a dedicated Seminole fan and booster, Shawn along with his family could always be found in the Doak Campbell Stadium cheering on the Noles. He was a jokester whose silly antics often brought a smile to many faces. Shawn also enjoyed traveling, and visiting the beach. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him. Shawn is survived by his two 7 year old daughters, Niva Nicole & Aiyana Leigh Ryster and wife, Valona Marcum Ryster, all of Hahira, GA.; parents, Doc Ryster of Palatka, FL. and Donna (Jim) Rainey of Havana, FL.; sister, Nickie (Lucas) Ryster Stricker and nephew Roman Stricker, of Tallahassee, FL.; brother, Jimmy (Julieanne) Rainey, Jr. of New York, NY; and grandparents, Ronald & Shirley Cason and Margaret Gregory, all of Palatka, FL. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Harold & Mary Ryster and grandfather, Dan Masters. A Visitation will be held on , Dec. 12, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Culleys Meadowwood , 1737 Riggins Rd., Tallahassee. Obituary: RYSER, Barbara Jean, 63, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Jan 1, 2015. Born Jun 16, 1951 in Elkton, MD to the late Albert and Ethel Varady, and raised in Newark, Delaware. She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce Ryser of 43 years; son Alexander and wife Frances Ryser; grandson Theodore Ryser; brother Albert and wife Gail Varady & children; sisters, Nancy and husband Karl Koch & children, Ethel and husband Hal Hudson & children, Darlene and husband Robert Battiste & children; brothers-in-law Kenneth and Kathy Ryser & children, Theodore and Susan Ryser & child. Barbara worked as a Registered Nurse for Hillsborough Co. School Services for 27 years. Our Angel on Earth, talented artist, and “computer guru”, Barb was known for her prolific lectures, littered with humor, yet always kind & patient when training new hires. Barbara served as a mentor to nurses, LPNs & health assistants across the district. A musician, avid reader, and nature-lover who loved to travel, she was dearly loved and will be sorely missed by all her family & friends. A memorial service & reception will be held at on Jan 10, 2015 at 5:00 PM at Blount & Curry Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 West Bearss Avenue, Tampa, FL 33618. Visitors welcome at 4:00 PM.
