Obituary: Percy Rosenbloom, Jr. died peacefully on 3, 2015 after an extended illness. He was born 11, 1928, and a lifelong native of Jacksonville. Raised in Murray Hill, he attended Ruth N. Upson Elementary School, John Gorrie Jr. High and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1946. For 67 years he was married to his childhood sweetheart, Dorothy Surrency. Mr. Rosenbloom was a prominent local business man. His career started early during his high school years working alongside his father, Percy Rosenbloom, Sr., who started Florida Window Cleaning in 1926. When his father retired, Percy Jr. transformed the small, local window and floor cleaning business into Royal Services, Inc., a commercial building services contracting firm. A man of great energy and keen business acumen, he grew Royal Services into one of largest and most respected building service contractors in Florida with offices in Jacksonville, Miami, Tampa and Orlando. He was a true entrepreneurial visionary, and pioneered many private business ventures over the years. Outside of business he enjoyed all sorts of activities from golf, to bream fishing with Dot in Floridas backwater creeks. He and his wife were also pilots, flying their Cessna single engine airplane throughout the South. Mr. Rosenbloom was an avid walker, and was often seen walking the neighborhoods of Ortega protected by his notorious walking stick. Most importantly he enjoyed time spent with his many friends, and the night dinners with the Timuquana golfing group. Mr. Rosenbloom was predeceased by his parents, two older sisters, Louise Carlton and Linnie Williamson, and his daughter, Beverly Rosenbloom Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Surrency Rosenbloom, two sons and daughters in law, Percy Rosenbloom, III (Betty), Steven M. Rosenbloom (Paula), nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren with one more on the way. The family would especially like to thank all the caregivers at St. Vincents Hospital, St. Catherine Labouré Manor and the Acosta Rua for Caring for their terrific and compassionate care. A private family graveside service will take place on at Riverside Memorial Park , followed by a 2:00 pm memorial service in the sanctuary of Riverside Presbyterian Church. Obituary: Irving Richard Rosenbloom, of Palm Beach, FL, died , May 13, 2015. He was 89. In World War II, Richard was a B-29 Bomber Pilot and the first plane he rode in was the one he was learning to fly which was a Piper Cub. Part of his training as an Army Air Force Cadet took place at Elon from 1943 to 1944 where he was stationed. He was part of the 325th Training Detachment and he recently was featured in the Elon Magazine as a key to filling in the gaps in the history of Elon in North Carolina during the war, which had been lost due to the war and lack of records available. In 1945 he was discharged from the service and immediately went to work in his family's clothing business, Richmond Garment . When he moved to Florida he started and ran Richard Rosenbloom Associates, also known as Southeast Buyers, Inc. as a broker of Ladies Apparel. As a business man he was known for his word being his bond. He delighted in sharing his memories of the war and he served his beloved country proudly. Richard was a genteel man whose character drew others to him. He was completely devoted to family, faith, country, and his business. It was once said about him that "Richard's true friendship was not easily given but once given, it was not easily lost." He was described as engaging, charming, and affable. "He should have been Secretary of State" said his brother Danny Rosenbloom. He had the ability to make people feel special and would often share words of wisdom with those he met. He was born on 28, 1925, in New York to Frieda Vogel and Sol Rosenbloom who preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife Bernis Gold Rosenbloom of 19 years, daughter Amy Rosenbloom (Barry Weiss) of New York, NY, son David (Michelle) Rosenbloom of Pound Ridge, NY, four grandchildren (Allison and Michael Weiss and Paige and Dylan Rosenbloom), brothers Danny (Giovanna) Rosenbloom of New York, NY, Gerry (Connie) Rosenbloom of Coral Springs, FL, and Arthur (Jane) Rosenbloom of New York, NY, sister Erna Breiner of Lawrence, Long Island, NY, and step children Brett Gold (Dan Thompson) of Arlington, VA, Bradd (Pat Khouri) Gold of Riverdale, NY, and Cari Joscelin Gold of Los Angeles, CA, and five step grandchildren (Zoey and Max Thompson and Sam, Jill and Noah Gold) and many friends far and near. Richard loved well and was well loved and shall be greatly missed from all those who had the privilege of knowing him. A memorial service for Mr. Rosenbloom will take place at noon on , May 18, 2015 at Quattlebaum at 5411 Okeechobee Blvd, West Palm Beach. Following the service the interment will take place in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at Temple Beth El Memorial Gardens, 4900 Old Griffith Road, Davie, FL. Obituary: . HARRY "RAY"ROSENBLOOM, Jr., LAKE ALFRED - Harry "Ray" Rosenbloom, Jr., 62, of Lake Alfred, passed away on May 27, 2014 due to heart failure. He attended the U.S. Navy School of Music and was a member of the U.S. Navy Drum and Bugle Corp. He played with the Birdie Castle Show Band for 25+ years, played drums and sang with combos on three major cruise ships, and played with a group that accompanied The Four Lads. He was a member of the Northshore Band of Wilmette, IL under the baton of John Paynter, Director of Music at Northwestern University. He also taught drum lessons at Carltons Music in Winter Haven. Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Tavenner Rosenbloom. He is survived by his father, Harry R.
