Obituary: Robert W. Rose (Bob) age 85, of Ellenton, FL, formerly of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away peacefully at Manatee Memorial Hospital on 3, 2016. He was a retired Senior Maintenance Supervisor at the General Foods, Kraft Post Foods Corporation for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War in the 172nd Fighter Bomber Squadron in the Air National Guard. Retiring to Florida in 1988, he and his wife Donna (Wright) Rose loved to golf, travel and boat. He loved to spend time and travel with his children and grand - children. Survived by his wife Donna, of over 60 years; his daughter Linda and her husband Gerald; son Steven and wife Virginia; and 5 grandchildren Samantha, Amanda, Victoria, Ashley, and Kyle; and 3 great - grandchildren. Visitation will be held on , 8th, 2016 at 9:00 AM following with a service at 9:30 at the Groover located in Ellenton, Florida. |

Obituary: Rose, Robert M Jr., 70, of Tampa, passed away 6, 2015. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Robert and Mary Rose, Sr. Robert was a Proud and Dedicated Member of the United States Army and served for over 20 years. He loved music and history. Earned the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America on 12, 1962. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Martha L. Rose; daughter; Kimberly Somers (Ron); son, Kevin Rose (Susan) and Grandsons, Jake and Will Somers. Three sisters, Pat Blackwell (Jim), Margaret Rutherford (Walter) and Mary E. Kipgen. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeannie Howell. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate Robert's life, , 21, 2015, 2:00 pm at the Blount & Curry West Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Dr., Tampa. Obituary: Robert Franklin Rose, age 92, died at Ft. Walton Beach Medical on 16, 2015, in Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. Robert Rose was born on 7, 1922 in Connellsville, Pa, to parents, Albert L. and Ann (Crouse). He is survived by his daughter, Roxanne Jacobs, married to Jake Jacobs, of Niceville, Fl.; his brother, Dean Rose, married to Gwen Rose, of Connellsville, Pa.; his sister, Suzanne Rose of Naples, Fl. ; his grandchildren, Michael Jacobs & wife Donna of Columbus, Ga., Scott Jacobs & wife Jennifer of Charlotte, NC., Katherine Skocik & husband Michael of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Jessica Marshall of Pittsburgh, Pa. ; and his great grandchildren, Aaron, Jimmy, Gavin, Josie, Rowan and Olive. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris and daughter, Deborah Marshall. Robert, along with his brother, Dean, owned & operated the family business Roses Ice Cream in Connellsville, Pa. He was a radio operator on the B17 aircraft during WWII, assigned to 100th bomb group, and an active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Connellsville, Pa. He was a social, active man who was deeply involved in the community for most of his life and a member of many local organizations including the Masonic Temple, Treasurer and caretaker of Hillgrove , committee chair of local Salvation Army, Elks Club #503, American Legion, Amateur Radio Emergency Service group and many more. His friends & family will always remember him as a loving caring man, devoted husband and a true gentleman. A celebration of Roberts life will be held at Ft. Walton Beach Elks #1795 on Okaloosa Island at 2:00 pm on , 22, 2015 . The family would like to thank Ft. Walton Beach Intensive care nurses and staff. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. |
