When Rick was a child, there were problems with wheelchair accessibility to his school prompting him to challenge the School Board for adaptive and appropriate busing needs for the physically challenged. Dr. Galetas insight to Special Needs lead him to the involvement in and Human Services issues to look at the big picture--tackling accessibility needs, adults with mental health impairments, drug and alcohol abuse, AIDS, low birth-weight babies, mentally ill adults with dental health needs.
