Obituary: Thomas A Rahe 1946-2014 Tom was born on 25, 1946 in Kentucky. He was the son of George and Matilda Rahe. He passed on , 7, 2014. Tom is survived by his wife Mary Ann, his three daughters, Fracine Rahe of Lake Worth, FL, Tina Rahe of Thornton, CO and Susan Rahe of Loxahatchee, FL, as well as by his grandchildren Ashleigh Swaffield, Danielle Valdes, Nicholas Ramirez, Amanda McConnell, Thomas Ramirez and Erik Hufnagel. Tom is also survived by his siblings, Pat, Ginny, Sue, Jerry and Christine, brothers-in-law Jack, Ray and Dan along with many nieces and nephews. Tom was pre-deceased by his parents, his brother Jimmy and his sister Georgie. Tom served his country in the air force during Vietnam. He was a loyal and dedicated member of the Shamrock Jewelers family for over 25 years. He had a special bond with his co-workers and customers. Tom was a man of honor and commitment with a phenomenal sense of humor. Most importantly, he was a gentleman who always put family first. As a father he was a protector, a provider and an inspirational teacher. He was a devoted and passionate husband who exemplified how a woman should be cherished and did so lovingly with Mary Ann for over 44 years. Obituary: Theodore Dale (Ted) Rahe, a man of faith, family and charity, died 30, 2014, after a brief illness. He was 87. During his last days, Ted was encircled by his beloved family - Mary Ann, his wife of 62 years, and their children and grandchildren. He was born in Dyersville, Iowa, on 26, 1927, the eighth child of Henry and Kathryne (Wagner) Rahe. He served in both the U.S. Navy and the Army, and he earned his bachelors degree and masters degree (in hospital administration) from the University of Iowa. a career in medical administration, Ted founded a condominium management company on the Emerald Coast and continued that work until he fell ill. Ted had been a champion of the disadvantaged since the mid-60s, when he chaired a committee in Jefferson , La., that succeeded in getting a new juvenile detention center built. A supporter of finding help for homeless families, he worked for many years with the Okaloosa/Walton Coalition On The less and later with Fresh Start for Children and Families, in recent years reporting for duty each week at the organizations thrift store, Repeat Street. He was a board member or volunteer with more than a dozen organizations, including serving as board president of White Sands Manor Retirement , Serra Club of Okaloosa and Fort Walton Beach Rotary Club. He was a member of Rotary for more than 50 years with 38 years of perfect attendance. He was a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He met Mary Ann Walsh in high school and courted her, most memorably, on a one-horse sleigh ride. reconnected one summer during college while performing in a theater production of The Winslow Boy. were married in 1952 and raised their six children together. Their lives were colored by Teds adventuresome spirit, which included a love of horses, sailing, tennis and the outdoors. In addition to his wife, Ted is survived by his children, Elizabeth Copeland (Dennis), Katie Belew (Doug), Matthew Rahe, Mary Theresa Rahe, and Serra Abel (Gregg); grandchildren Theodore Copeland, Nicholas Copeland, Daniel Belew, David Belew, Isabel Kenney, Lauren Abel and Sam Abel; sister Esther Kofron, brothers Norm Rahe and Hank Rahe; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Theodore John Rahe, his parents and four siblings: Beatrice Rahe, Marguerite Thornton, James Rahe, and Marian Teahen. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 10 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fort Walton Beach, with a rosary at 10 a.m. The family requests that donations be sent to Fresh Start for Children & Families or Emerald Coast Hospice. Patsy is survived by her children, Judy (Robert) Bartlett, Ellen (Jack) McIntrye, Charlie Ragusa, and Kimberly (Jeff) Melnick,, eight grandchildren; Brandy, Tab, Sarah, Matthew, Taylor, Parker, Jonathan, Amanda and three great-grandchildren: Timothy, Harper and Coralie.
