Obituary: Michiko Mori Racine, 86, of Tampa passed away peacefully on , 4, 2011. She was born on 23, 1925 in Kumamoto, Japan to Yasugoro Mori and Sada Tutumi. Michiko enjoyed many hobbies crocheting blankets, sewing and mending clothing, cooking, listening to Jazz music, shopping for clothing and jewelry, watching television and reading. In her younger years she loved to swim. Michiko lived to take care of her family raising her children and grandchildren and playing with her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Charles. Those left to cherish her memory include her dedicated daughter, Mary and husband Sammy Graham; loving son, Frank and wife Edna Racine; one sister Masako; 3 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held on , 8, at 12 PM with visitation one hour prior at Hillsboro Memorial , Brandon. Michiko will be deeply missed and forever loved. |

Obituary: RACINE, Jean "Nana", age 91, passed away on 19, 2015 in Plant City, Florida. Jean moved from Ontario, Canada to the United States in 1956. She has made Florida her home since 1978. She loved to knit, crochet and was a devout Catholic who attended St. Clement Catholic Church in Plant City, Florida. She also volunteered for many years with the church for the Strawberry Festival. Jean is predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Arthur Racine; daughter, Lorraine Hanson; and son, Eric Racine. Loving family who survive are daughters, Jackie Marcincuk (John) and Donna Burrage (Roger); brother, Alan; sisters, Vera and Mary; 11 grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Mass at St. Clement Catholic Church on , 4, 2015, 8:00am. Memorials may be made to the church in her honor. |

Obituary: Laurette C. Raciappa, 94, passed away at home on Oct. 23, 2016. She was a Winter Haven native and Polk Community Instructor. Mrs. Raciappa was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl J. Inskeep, and second husband, The Rev. John D. Raciappa; son, Roger Inskeep; parents Pauline Colley and D.D. Colley; and sister Priscilla C. Inskeep. Mrs. Raciappa is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carol I. and Douglas S. Richards; grandchildren, Lisa R. (T.J.) Oakes and W. David (Heather) Richards; great grandchildren Connor and Chase Oakes; and was looking forward to another great grandson due soon. Mrs. Raciappa graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1938 and attended F.S.U. (1938-1940). She was a graduate of Emory Univ. Hospital School of in Atlanta, The Univ. of N.C. School of Public at Chapel Hill, and received her Masters Degree from the Univ. of South Florida. As an R.N., Mrs. Raciappa served as a Navy Nurse aboard the U.S.S. Repose (U.S.N. Hospital Ship) in the Pacific during WWII; the Dept. of in Polk Co.; and on the Faculty of P.C.C. She was a very loving, kind, patient, and gentle Southern lady, mother, and grandmother. She had a great love for God, family, country, and caring for others. Mrs. Raciappa was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Winter Haven. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Fri., Nov. 4th, at St. Pauls Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, it is preferred that memorial donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 3470 Lakeland Hills Blvd. Lakeland, FL 33805, or to St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 656 Ave. L, N.W. Winter Haven, FL 33881. |
