Obituary: Arthur A. Quimby Melbourne Arthur A Quimby, 84 of Melbourne, went to be with the Lord on , 30, 2016. He was born in Amesbury, MA on 31, 1932. Arthur proudly served 21 years with the US Army, with deployment during the Vietnam War. He also worked for the Brevard School Board. Arthur was a loving husband, father and friend and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Annie; his daughter Linda Gatliff and her husband Jeff and his son, Gerald Quimby and his wife Terri. There will be a visitation held from 5-7pm on , 2 at the Life Event at Florida Memorial. A funeral service will be held at 2pm on , 3 at the Life Event at Florida Memorial, entombment will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org. |

Obituary: Ronald Quilling, also known as Q as he was affectionately called by many, passed away peacefully on , 26, 2014 at Sacred Heart Hospital from cancer. He battled this disease with courage, humor, and determination in order to make more memories with his family, especially his five grandchildren. Ron was born on 24, 1941 to Clint and Ione Quilling in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He graduated in 1959, from Menomonie High School where he actively participated in both wrestling and baseball. Ron joined the Army after high school. leaving the Army, he worked at 3M in Minneapolis and eventually moved back to the area and was employed at the Eau Claire Post Office where he later retired from after 30 years. He married, Gayle Lund in 1967, and they later divorced. He relocated to Cocoa Beach, Florida during his retirement years. Ron was known as an avid sports enthusiast and a great cook. He helped coach numerous basketball, softball and baseball teams while his daughters were growing up and continued to coach after they graduated. Some of the organizations that he coached with include: Little League, Babe Ruth, and the Eau Claire Bears. There was rarely a sporting or musical event that he missed of both his daughters as well as their friends. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and the Quilling Grill was also always open! He is survived by his two daughters, Shelli (Kevin) Tracy of Port Charlotte, Florida and Sherri (Andrew) Gibson of Eau Claire, five grandchildren: Logan, Collin, and Stella Tracy, Claire and Paige Gibson. His parents, Clint and Ione Quilling, preceded him in death. A Celebration Of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on , 2, 2014 at Olson in Menomonie. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Military Honors will be accorded by the Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard at the funeral home following the service. In lieu of flowers, his family request that memorials be made in memory of Ron Quilling to the Jeffers Park Development Fund at the Eau Claire Community Foundation 306 S. Barstow St. Suite 104, Eau Claire, WI 54701 or donate online at www.eccommunityfoundation.org. This project is for the development of a baseball and softball complex for Eau Claire youth. This would allow for our dads passion for sports to continue on with the local youth. |
