Obituary: Nora Jane Van Mark Pitman 9, 1931- 15, 2014 On 15, 2014, Nora went to be with her beloved husband, Harold, and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in eternity. She was born on 9, 1931 in Torrington, Wyoming to Willie Van Mark and Fern Hill Van Mark (both deceased) and is survived by one brother, Jack Van Mark (Hannah). Nora is survived by her loving family of 5 children: Larry Pitman (Lisa), David Pitman (Lora), Connie Pitman, Patricia McDaniels (Bruce), and Christina Knowles (Randy) all of Colorado Springs. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Justin Gurganian, Tiffany Pitman, Jason Pitman, Michael McDaniels (Crystal), Elizabeth Pritchard (David), Pamela Boese (Trevor), Christopher Pitman, Melissa Druckenmiller (Tim), Daniel Knoche (Morgan), Valerie Knoche, Barbara Pitman, and Katelyn Pitman. In addition, Nora leaves behind 10 great-grandchildren: Colton Love, Ryan Boese, Elijah Boese, Ariana Boese, Rebecca Druckenmiller, Matthew Druckenmiller, Tyler Knoche, Levi Knoche, Bailey Pritchard, and Abigail Druckenmiller. Nora grew up on a farm, enjoyed the prairie, loved horses, cooking, and gardening. She was also artistic, drawing horses and sewing her own clothing, knitting, and crocheting gifts for the whole family. She worked as a bookkeeper, and most recently, as a data entry clerk for Focus on the Family. But by far, she would say her greatest accomplishment in life was her enormous and beloved family and her marriage of 61 years to her true love, Harold. Family was everything to her, and she let everyone know how proud she was of them and how much she loved each one. Nora was a strong, selfless, and loving woman of faith. She steadfastly prayed for the nurses, doctors, and CNAs of her nursing home as well as for her family, always concerned with the well being of others. She will be missed by every life she touched. A viewing will be held at 11:00 A.M. on 21, 2014 at Vista Grande Baptist Church, 5680 Stetson Hills Blvd., Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. with reception immediately following, and a private burial service for family will be at Memorial Gardens at 3:00 P.M. |
