Obituary: Pauline Marie Puglia was born in Wilton North Dakota on 22, 1919. Pauline, her mother, father and brother Andy, moved to East Chicago Indiana when Pauline was very young. She attended High School and proceeded to graduate from Beauty School to become a hair stylist. She met her Husband, Anthony Puglia and they were married on 13, 1941. Tony went into the Army and the first 3 years of their marriage they saw very little of each other. Pauline would travel across the states to visit Tony at Boot Camp. Tony, Jr. was born in 1943 while his dad was overseas fighting the Battle of the Bulge. Once he returned to civilian life, Pauline and Tony settled into their life and Rose Marie was born in 1945 and Paulette (Paula) was born in 1953. In 1956 Pauline and Tony purchased a home in Hammond Indiana where Tony built Pauline a Beauty Shop in the back of the house. Pauline did hair from that little shop for over 11 years. moved to Long Beach California in the late 1960s and Pauline went to work as a sales person for Buffums in downtown Long Beach. She worked for Buffums for 25 years and advanced to department manager before the stores were closed. Pauline and Tony loved to dance, travel and just be together. were each others best friends and spent many years together until Tonys passing in 1998. Pauline volunteered at the Westminster Senior where she was voted Senior of the Year for her service. Pauline was 96 years young when she passed 22, 2015, from complications from Kidney failure and pneumonia. Pauline is preceded in death by her brother, Andy Yurciw and her daughter, Rose Marie Banks. Pauline is survived by her children, Tony Puglia, Jr. and Paulette (Paula) Franks, Son-in-Laws, Arthur Banks and Frederick Franks. Grandchildren, Arthur Kato Banks, Shauna Banks, Daniel Puglia (wife Cindy), Joseph Puglia, Dallas Swallow and Michael Swallow. Great Grandchildren, Sabra and Angelina (Daniel); Gia (Shauna) and Emmett ( Michael). Pauline is also survived by her ten nieces and nephews and her half Brother Tony and his wife (Marilyn) who reside in Indiana. Visitation is scheduled for , 26, 2015 at 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at McCormick and Son. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Alzheimers Association in Paulines name would be greatly appreciated. Obituary: Thirmon C. Pugh 22, 1927 - 22, 2012 Dad was born on 22, 1927 near Fishcreek, Oklahoma on the Bonds farm. He passed away 22, 2012 surrounded by his family at his home in Bakersfield, California. He attended Fishcreek Elementary and graduated from Kinta High School. Dad was the fifth child to Will and Mae Pugh. He moved to Avenal, California in 1947, where he worked building rig foundations, which led to rig building. It was there he met mom and they were married 2, 1949. In 1952 he became a Union Ironworker which became his permanent occupation from which he retired in 1978. He enjoyed gardening and he and mom enjoyed yard sales and mini storage auctions. He and mom also enjoyed traveling in their later years. Dad loved and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Indian casinos and visiting family and friends. Dad is survived by his son, Roger and daughter in law, Lisa Pugh; his grandson, Matthew; great grandchildren, Lydia, Kaylee, Karissa, and Tristen Pugh; granddaughter, Grace Byrtus and husband, Robert; great grandchildren, Dominic, Destiny, Madicyn, and Kelsey. Dad is also survived by his brothers, Boyd Pugh, and Charles Pugh; sisters, Geraldine Ragle and husband Bill, and Lecretia Crow and husband James. Also many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded by his parents, Will and Mae Pugh; his brothers, John, Leon, and Leonard Pugh; sisters Vera Hurst and Wanda Harris; and his wife of 53 years, Lorene Pugh. The family would like to thank Suzanne Pugh and David Thompson for their kindness and support during dad's battle with cancer. We would also like to thank the staff at Optimal Hospice for the excellent care and kindness they gave to dad. A Viewing will be held on 4, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Mish on Minner Ave. in Oildale. Graveside services will be Januuary 5, 2013 at Shafter on Santa Fe Way at 11 a.m. |

Obituary: Former Woodlake resident, Ruth Ellen Pugh, 91, of Visalia, California, passed away on , 4, 2016 in Visalia, California surround by her loving family. Ruth was born in Visalia, California on 31, 1924 to Earl and Mamie Davis, Sr. She was raised and educated in Woodlake, California, graduating from Woodlake High School in 1942. She went on to attend of Sequoias during the war years. On 25, 1945, Ruth married Clyde Pugh in Woodlake, California at the Presbyterian Church. She worked for the California Highway Patrol for a few years. She then went to work for Southern California Edison beginning as a switchboard operator. When she retired in 1986 after 30 years, she was working as an assistant in the doctors office at Edison in Tulare. Ruth enjoyed visiting with her friends, laughing and collecting jokes. She also enjoyed wine tasting (with two ice cubes, please!) and going to the coast. She most enjoyed times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mamie, her brother, Earl J. Davis, Jr. in 2007, and by her husband of 45 years, Clyde, in 1990. Ruth leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ron Pugh and Pam Wallace and husband Danny, all of Visalia, CA; four grandchildren, Matt and wife Lilly, Jeff, Joe and Julie, and her great grandchildren, Brooke, Brian, Hunter, Owen and Evan. Memorial services will be held at Woodlake Presbyterian Church on , 18, at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kaweah Delta Hospital Foundation or Woodlake Presbyterian Church, 600 West Naranjo Boulevard, P.O.
