Obituary: Everyones life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. James S. Peter Sr. was no exception. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, James will be remembered as a very exceptional person. James life journey began on 4, 1932. He first greeted the world in the Philippines. His parents names were Salvador Peter and Apolonia Sabado. He was raised in Olongapo City, Philippines and later relocated to San Diego, California. As a young man, James met and fell in love with Clarita Muñoz. The couple exchanged wedding vows on 16, 1952 in Olongapo City. Empathic and loyal, James was committed to making his new family happy. The couple shared many loving years of marriage. While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately this same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. James was blessed with eight children, Nanie Smith, Diocita Melon, Nolita Gatbunton, Anabel Nazareno, James Peter Jr., John Peter, Jerry Peter, and Joseph Peter. James worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs, raising his children in a positive and nurturing environment. How a person performs in the workplace can be a reflection on how they live their life. Fortunately, James enjoyed what he did for a living. Showing a strong work ethic, James worked diligently and did his best to succeed in each of his occupations. James worked as a businessman and photographer for over fifty years. James Peter left us on 3, 2011. He passed away in San Diego, California. He is survived by his wife Clarita Peter; his children Nanie and John Smith, Baby and Sid Melon, Neneng and Ernesto Gatbunton, Abel and Arturo Nazareno, Junior and Ana Peter, John, Jerry and Myrna Peter, Joseph and Michelle Peter; his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services were handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A funeral service was held at The Little Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, California on 13, 2011. James was laid to rest at Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California. Simply stated, James was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being caring and giving, someone who was a vital part of their lives. James leaves behind him a legacy of lifelong friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life James S. Peter Sr. touched will always remember him with a smile. |
