Obituary: Rosalba Delgadillo Pena-Sifuentes went to her Savior on May 4, 2017. Rosalba was born in Autlan, Mexico on 7, 1939. She was the fifth of sixteen children. From a very young age she was strong, responsible, hardworking, loving and funny; a story-teller who kept everyone in stitches. When Rosalba and her sister, Gloria, were 18 and 19 years old, they came to the United States to earn money for their family. It turned out to be a grand adventure. made their homes in the Fresno-Madera area and helped two more sisters, Rosa and Sonia, come as well. For years Rosalba worked at Saint Agnes Hospital while going to school to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree at Fresno State in 1969. a one-year internship for the Veteran's Administration in Los Angeles, Rosalba became a Registered Dietician. She worked for the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Fresno for 30 years. During her time at the Fresno VA, she also earned an MBA at Fresno State. Most importantly, she left a legacy of faith, love and service for her family and friends to emulate. Even through many years of caring for sick loved ones, several of her own surgeries, and a diagnosis of cancer, she volunteered and served her church family as much as she possibly could. Rosalba's family and friends will carry beautiful memories in their hearts of our beloved sister, aunt, co-worker, supervisor, mentor, friend, and second mother to Gloria's children. She was known as Rosalba, tia Rosalba, Nina Chaba and, for many years at the VA, as Miss Pena. We all long for the day we can sit and talk and laugh together again. When we remember, we will recall that hers was a life well lived. Rosalba was preceded in death by her adoring husband of 24 years, Cruz "Tony" Sifuentes; parents Miguel Angel Pena and Maria Isabel Pena; and siblings Miguel Angel Pena, Minerva Chavez, Yolanda Pena, Gloria Schafer, Mario Pena, Lauro Pena, Mario Pena, Norma Pena, Jorge Pena, and Alejandro Pena. She is survived by her siblings o Pena, Sonia Pena, Maria Pena, Alma Pena, Rosa Medina, and Alejandra Pena. She also leaves behind Elizabeth Levine, Linda King, Glen Schafer, Mark Schafer, Alex Pena, Mirella Williams, Sonia Pranger and many, many more nieces and nephews who will miss Nina/Tia Chaba so very much. Visitation will be held at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair on , May 16, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on , May 17, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Catholic .
