Obituary: John was born in Turkey, Arkansas on 03/05/24 and passed away on 10/02/16 in Yakima, Wash. He was a very loving family man. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He joined the military as a Naval Medical Corpsman. He then went to the Marines - 1st Marines - 5th Division. He was with the Marines on Okinawa. He served some time in China. On his honorable discharge he returned to Yellville, Arkansas and married the love of his life, Dorothy (Morrow) Penalton. were married for 50 years when Dorothy passed away. had 3 children. Their son James passed away in 1992. He had worked for Sunquist, Marleys, and for 23 years for Yakima Fruit and Cold Storage. He was preceded in death by his wife (1997), son (1992), his parents and siblings. He is survived by his daughter Marylin Sue Marshall and his son Charles Penalton; grandchildren: David (Jody) Marshall, Susan (Greg) Marshall and Randy Shaw; great grandchildren: Theresa, David O., Danielle, Kasen, Gregory, Hailey, Charlie, Kaitlynn Rose and Emma Sophia; and numerous nieces and nephews including Linda (Dave) Jacobs of Yakima. services are being conducted by Keith & Keith . Viewing will be on Oct. 14, 2016 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Keith & Keith . The graveside services will be at 10:00 AM at Terrace Heights Memorial Park on Oct. 21, 2016. |
