Obituary: Prior, John Jack Richardson John Jack Richardson Prior, beloved and treasured husband, father, and friend, passed away suddenly but peacefully on 19, 2015, after long and strenuous battles with numerous medical issues. He was born on 16, 1926 to James and Katherine Prior in Belfast, Ireland. His father was the Belfast Chief of Police and his mother was a home economics teacher. Jack is survived by daughters, Jennifer Prior Schledorn and husband David, and Victoria Christine Prior; his son, John William Prior; nieces, Hazel Graham of Belfast, Northern Ireland; Pam Tobin and husband Paul of Toronto, Canada; nephew, Eric Prior and wife Colette of St. John, Newfoundland; and a host of other family and friends. A marine & mechanical engineer and naval architect by profession, Jack received his degrees from Belfast Technical and later, Stow in Glasgow, Scotland. Jack served in the British Royal Navy on destroyer escort ships during World War II in the North Atlantic. World War II, in 1947, he joined the British Merchant Navy. He then served with the Cunard Line on their passenger ships as the primary steam and diesel commander. He often told his children that he had sailed around the world the equivalent of three times. leaving the Cunard line in 1956, he served as a power plant insurance inspector for a major insurance company. While on vacation to visit a family friend in New York state, he met and eventually married Renate Besgen of Eschweiler, Germany. Their fifty year marriage was lived in Illinois, Missouri, Virginia, Idaho, Louisiana, Washington state, California, Indonesia, and finally Texas. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Jack worked in the Newport News, Virginia shipyard and Idaho Falls, Idaho as a naval architect for the USAs new uclear navy, designing engine rooms and other critical engineering-related areas of such ships as the Nimitz. During that time, he often encountered Admiral Hyman Rickover, "The Father of the Nuclear Navy". He then went on to work for Combustion Engineering and then later Atlantic Richfield (ARCO), where he designed the massive crawlers that transported entire buildings across the Alaskan arctic to accompany the construction of the Alaska Pipeline (Beat the Ice in 76); designed double-hulled spill-resistant oil tankers in Long Beach, California and Nagasaki, Japan, and managed offshore oil operations in Jakarta, Indonesia. He retired from ARCO in 1986. In his spare time, Jack loved woodworking, carpentry, welding, and drawing. He was also a skilled electrician and plumber. He especially loved recounting his numerous life stories and adventures, which more often than not included a generous amount of larney, tall tales, and pranks. For many years, he was active with the Shriners International organization, lastly involved with the Hella Shrine Temple in Garland, Texas. In the last years of his life, despite the numerous medical issues, his children never once heard him complain, a true study in courage, bravery and strength of character. Jack is preceded by his wife of 50 years, Renate Besgen Prior; brother, Geoffrey Prior; and sister, Irene Hutchinson. Visitation for Jack will be on 24, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Ted Dickey West and service on 25, 2015 at 8:30 AM in the Chapel at Ted Dickey West with interment to follow in Red Oak, Texas. Obituary: Billie Louise Yater Prior quietly left this world and joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on , 6, 2015. She was 94 years old. The memorial service will be held at the New Braunfels Church of Christ, 1665 Business Loop IH 35 S., on , 14 at 1:00 p.m., following a private burial on afternoon at San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio.Visitation will be held at Zoeller from 9:00 AM until 11:30 AM. Born to loving Christian parents, William and Ruby Yater, on 8, 1920, Billie grew up in Cleburne, Texas. She met the love of her life, Bruce Prior, at Abilene Christian , and they married in 1941. In 1943 their first son, Robert (Bobby) Lyn, was born and five years later their first daughter, Rita Sue, was born. The beautiful family was shattered three months later, when Bobby became suddenly ill and died. Four years later they adopted a son and daughter, Paul Ronald (age 9) and Linda Joy (age 8). Soon after, Billie found out she was pregnant and Vicki Lee was born to complete the family. Bruce and Billie worked for over 30 years for the east Texas public school district which included the Church of Christ childrens home, Boles . Bruce ran the school as its superintendent (and basketball coach in the early years); Billie kept it going as his secretary, and sometimes speech teacher. influenced many children and teens for the Lord through those years. In 1978, Billie and Bruce retired to New Braunfels. enjoyed ministering with the church, gardening, golfing, bowling, camping, and going to visit their children and the growing number of grandchildren. Billie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruby Yater, her loving husband, Bruce, and their son, Bobby, as well as two sisters, Cora Fay Yater Huff and Carrie Yater Beard. She is survived by a family who loved her completely. Children: Paul Prior; Linda Prior Roether and husband, Mark; Rita Prior Foust and husband, Charlie; Vicki Prior Coley and husband, Mark. Grandchildren: Laurie Green Stamps and husband, Alvin; Christy Green Baum and husband, David; Gabriel Foust and wife, Shannon; Elisa Foust Jessup and husband, Ryan; Jessica Foust; Dale Coley and wife, Triston; Bonnie Coley; Doug Coley; and Katy Coley, as well as 14 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews and friends. Obituary: Angelo Prioli, 92 years old, was born on 22 May 1922 and passed away on 18 2015 in Houston, Texas. The golden voice of Angelo Prioli has been silenced while being surrounded by his family members. Angelo was a graduate of the Conservatorio Statale Di Musica G. Rossini Pesaro, Italy. He had an outstanding career and spent many years at La Scala Opera in Milan, Italy. He travelled to the United States in the 1950s with La Scala orchestra and performed many concerts throughout the U.S. He remained in the U.S. performing in Carnegie Hall and became a winner on the Arthur Godfrey Talent Show. Subsequently, he received recording contracts with CBS records and some recordings even went platinum in Australia. Along with his operatic performances, he was also in several movies, most notable in the U.S. is Miracle in Milano. Angelo was predeceased by his parents and four siblings. He is survived by his devoted wife, Geraldine Navarro Prioli, his son, Gregory Adam Prioli, his daughter-in-law, Laura DeVincentis Prioli, and grandson, Nicholas Valentino Prioli. His family and his music were his life. He lived a full and rewarding life filled with great achievements and always surrounded by wonderful family and friends. The casket escort will be his grandson, Nicholas. The pallbearers will be Paul DeVincentis, Giuseppe Maniscalco, y Mason, Dr. Marc Robert, Dan Silvestri, and Emidio Silvestri. Obituary: Barbara Ann Printy entered the heavenly realm of angels on 21st at 5:15 p.m. She was born in Sacramento, CA and lived all over the United States before settling in Austin in the early 1980s. This world will never see a more loyal wife, devoted mother, dedicated aunt and loving friend. Barbara was wonderful! She loved her children Blake and Blair and adored her sweetheart and husband of 25 years, Charlie. HEB Pharmacy was more than fortunate to have Barbara for over 26 years. During the last 15 months, Barbara treated her cancer like a part time job in addition to her dedicated service to HEB. She was a fighter, loved working in the HEB pharmacy, and cherished her coworkers and customers. She worked until the day she entered Seton Hospital. Cancer sucks, but the Seton doctors and staff were amazing, especially the nursing staff on the 7th floor, Dr. Joe Garcia and Dr. Diane Brinkman. Barbara was an amazing woman, and Motherhood was her primary focus in life. Her son Blake is a student at UT and Barbara is very proud of him. He has his Mothers sensitivity and his Fathers humor. He is talented and unstoppable. Her daughter Blair is a beautiful, lovely, and smart young lady. She is a senior at Bowie and headed to college next year, just like her brother. Barbara loved her children with all her heart. Watching from above, Barbara will always remain with her children. Her drive, loyalty and motivation runs through their veins. Barbara loved her family and friends. Her father, Claude Kitchen, passed away earlier this year and is waiting for her. Jenene, her mother, is still here to help Barbaras family. Julie at HEB was her best friend and of course all of the women in the PVC. Her nieces Ronda, Amy, and Amber always took care of her. She loved her extended family of Ida, Joan, and John, among others. Barbara loved gardening outdoors and making the yard beautiful; it was a strong passion of hers. She would plant new plants even when it was 100 degrees outside and water the heck out of them. No holiday will ever be the same without Barbara. She was an amazing chef! Her first job prepared her to cook for the masses. Some of her infamous dishes were without a doubt her turkey and cornbread stuffing, chicken fried steak, and chicken and dumplings, her childrens personal favorite.
