Obituary: Marjorie Ann Davis Prigmore was born on 26, 1935 in Dallas, TX and passed away on 4, 2017. She is survived by her children, Karen Blaha (Mrs. Joe Blaha) of Flower Mound; Jana Ferguson (Mrs. Carl Ferguson, Jr.) of Dallas and Rick Prigmore of Rowlett. Her three grandchildren, Matthew Blaha, Michael Blaha and Grace Ann Prigmore, also survive her. Marjorie graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1952. graduation, she attended Baylor University. She graduated in 1956 with a BA degree in Business. While at Baylor, she was a member of The Peer Club. She met her husband, Richard Prigmore, while attending Baylor. married in 1957 and were married until his death in 1975. Richard completed law school at Baylor, the couple moved to Brownfield, TX where he practiced law for 10 years. The growing family moved to Midland. Richard died in 1975, Marjorie and her children remained in Midland where she was active in the Republican Womens Club and served as President. She was also active in AAUW (the American Association of University Women). As a 35-year cancer survivor, Marjorie volunteered for the Reach to Recovery Program of the American Cancer Society. raising her family, Marjorie managed the Mid-America office building. She also worked as the office manager for Ballet Midland and later became the Southwest Regional Manager for Claydesta Communications. When the company was sold, Marjorie decided to move back to Dallas, TX. While in Dallas, she worked for the Zale Foundation for 22 years, retiring in 2012. Marjories many passions included taking vacations with her family to the Caribbean and especially Maui, Hawaii. She loved her family, animals, the Dallas Cowboys, and Baylor University. Services will be , 9 at 10am at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the SPCA of Texas-Dallas. |

Obituary: Family and friends will come together to celebrate the life and homecoming of Christopher Javon Prigg. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on 23rd, 1991 to Christie Denise Prigg and Derrick Lamar Roberts. Christopher accepted the Lord as his Savior at an early age. He enjoyed singing in the church choir at Pilgrim Baptist Church and attending his fellowship Bible study class on mornings. He had a very loving and giving heart. We will always remember that about Chris. He enjoyed working puzzles, cooking and watching movies. He attended Coronado High School before moving to Reno, Nevada. There he graduated from McQueen High School in 2008. His life dream was to go to culinary school to become a chef. Blessed with a gift of love for people he never met a stranger, everyone in the neighborhood knew Chris. We will continue to love him and carry his spirit within us. He is survived by his mother, Christie Prigg; and brother, Jordan of Reno, Nevada; Grandparents, Rosie and Ronnie Prigg of Lubbock, Texas; two aunts, Sherri Franklin of Abilene, Texas and Rhonda Greenzweig of Arlington, Texas; one uncle, Michael Greenzweig also of Arlington, Texas; three great aunts, Flessie Davis of Lubbock, Texas, Evelyn Hicks of Chicago, Illinois and Gloria Gaines of Houston, Texas; one great uncle, Lee Hicks of Lubbock, Texas; a step great-grandmother, Pearl Hicks of Houston, Texas. A special mention of a very dear family to Christopher, the Watts family. Chris was preceded in death by his great-granddaddy, Leroy Hicks. He will be missed by everyone who loved him. He is preceded in death by his father Santos Prieto Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife Rachel Prieto, his sons Sammy Prieto, Rene Perez, Ruben Perez, and his daughter Rebekah Perez, and his 2 granddaughters Gabriella, and Angelina. He is also survived by his mother Guadalupe Prieto 7 brothers Mario, Manuel, Joe, Ricky,Ruben, Danny, Roy and 3 sisters Ofelia, Frances, and MaryLou. He served his country for 22 years in the Army and Army reserve Sgt. 1st Class Prieto was deployed during Operation Desert Storm. Santos (Sonny) was a trumpet player in the band Los Premiers inducted into the West Texas Walk of Fame in 1997. are recognized as pioneers of Chicano music. He was also an avid golf player and shot his best game a 66 on before his passing. In addition to a deep love for his family including his much loved babies (pets) Rufus, Roxie, and Sophia (he cooked breakfast for them every morning, and walked them twice a day) he loved to travel. We all dream of a retired life like he lived fully. Santos would say he was blessed indeed and we would say he was indeed a blessing to all that knew and loved him. Obituary: Rodrigo (Roy) Prieto passed with peace on 12, 2017 at the age of 73 with his family at his side. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Esperanza, his two daughters Lettie and Sonia, as well as his two son-in-laws Martin and Andres. Roy had 5 grandchildren, Denise, Andrew, Erica, Noelle and Briahna. Alyssa, Alize, and Addison are his loving great grandchildren. Roy worked for Weaver Scopes until they closed their doors in 1984. He then went to work for the El Paso Independent School District where he retired after 20 years of employment. Looking back, Roy was a jokester, someone who loved to make people laugh. He loved dancing to his favorite oldies music. He was great at fixing cars as well as collecting a few of them in his backyard. This was a man who worked well with his hands, building his family three houses from the ground up. You can say that he was a bit stubborn and yes, maybe a little stingy with his money, but he will be greatly missed. If you ever got one of Roy's "famous" lectures, it was not to punish you (even though it felt like it) but it was because he genuinely cared about you. He found great joy in camping, gambling, fishing and hunting, with family and friends. As he leaves an empty spot in our hearts, we expect his to be up in heaven, wearing his sunglasses while having a cigarette and drinking coffee, making everyone laugh. |
