Burial is in Cathedral in the Pines under direction of Lloyd James . Charles peacefully passed away on , May 13, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born on 21, 1931 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Ellis and Thelma Armbruster Preston. Charles Preston was witty, strong and a lover of cars, planes and Longhorn football. His greatest love was reserved for Romadene, his wife of sixty-one years. He was strengthened by his abiding faith in Christ and devotion to his three children. We will miss him but we will join him soon. His children are grateful for their parents loving church, Shiloh Road Church of Christ, where they were longtime members. He is survived by; sister, Jane Bridges of San Diego, CA and sister-in-law, Peggy Preston of League City, Texas; son, Eric Preston and his wife Diann, of Tyler; daughters, Denalyn Lucado and husband Max, of San Antonio and Pam Preston, of Dallas; grandchildren, Jenna Bishop and husband Brett; Andrea Lucado, Sara Jones and husband Jeff; Justin Burkett and wife Ashley, Kindel Burkett and Taylor Preston; great-granddaughter, Rose Bishop; and many nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Jana Preston and brother, Lynn Preston. Obituary: Our Bryan Curtis Preston was born in Pasadena, Texas, on 27, 1974. Immediately, the world was a brighter place. If he met a room full of people, within minutes, every one of them loved him and he loved them right back. Bryan attended Mahanay Elementary and Killough Middle schools in Alief. He started at San Marcos Baptist academy in the 7th grade and graduated in the class of 1992. He was in the Army JROTC, originally a member of the color guard, and attained the 2nd highest rank possible, Leiutenant Colonol. He was an outstanding cadet and a natural leader. He played middle linebacker and center on the varsity football team and he always identified himself as SMA Bears #66. He attended Southwest Texas State University after graduation. Bryan met the absolute love of his life, Julie Groves, and married her in 2004. have 2 incredible sons, Hendrix and Vaughan, 6 and 4. One of his greatest joys was playing video games, Legos or super heros with his boys. Bryan was a fierce Houston Texans fan and a PROUD season ticket holder. He was also a Serie A European soccer fan. Liverpool was his favorite team. He loved to cook and entertain and was a very talented and creative chef. Anyone who ate his cooking would attest to that. His gumbo was legendary. He was happiest with a houseful of family and friends to take care of. Bryan's legacy will forever be the love he had for those family and friends, especially Julie and the boys. Bryan is also survived by his brother, Barry; sister, Tara; father, Barry Sr.; mom, Celia; and more nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family than you can shake a stick at. You know who you are. Obituary: Lloyd Bob Preston passed suddenly evening at the age of 62. The funeral will be at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas. Bob was born and raised in Albion, New York. He attended Louisiana State University, graduating with a BS in Petroleum Engineering. Shortly following graduation Bob served in the Army in Vietnam. He returned to his previous employment with Amoco Production in Lafayette, LA, where he met and married his wife Margaret. Margaret and Bob started their family in New Orleans, LA and shortly after moved to Dallas, where they raised their four children of whom Bob was so proud. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lloyd and Vera, and brothers, Clarence and Larry. He is survived by his wife Margaret Andries Preston, his brother John and his wife, his brother Dan and his wife; by his son, Peter and his wife Amanda; by his daughters, Mary McDougall and her husband Jeff, Elizabeth Williams and her husband Matt, and Irene Kusin and her husband Eric; by nine grandchildren and by numerous family and dear friends. The family requests that the memorials be sent to The Msgr. John T. Gulczynski endowment fund, care of St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Visitation will be from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on 31, 2017 at Elliott-Hamil , 542 Hickory St. Initially, he was a long time faithful member and Deacon of First Baptist Church, Abilene and later Pioneer Drive Baptist Church. Love for Jesus Christ permeated his entire life as evidenced by his sweet countenance, gentle disposition, and ability to oll with the punches. Born in Big Springs, Texas to Docia Fay Terrell Preston and Arnett y Preston, 1, 1934, Carl spent his early years growing up during the Great Depression. He later graduated from Texas Tech University as an Architect. During this time, he was married to Claudie Dell Carpenter and they had two sons, Randal Wayne and Russell Dean, all of whom have preceded him in death. His career spanned decades working for firms such as Boone and Pope, Tittle and Luther, Grady Cosby, and finally, the Texas Department of Transportation before retiring. He married Kay Walton in 2002 and they have had almost fifteen wonderful years of happiness. His family rejoices in the fact that Christ is risen, and Carl with Him. Survivors include his sisters Melba Sykes, Quepha Lewis and Margie Weller; their children and grandchildren, as well as his loving wife, Kay Preston and her children and grandchildren. |
