Married for 62 years to the love of her life, Eddie Plunk, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and her husband enjoyed many years of traveling together around the world. When not traveling, she enjoyed Bridge Club, Bunco Club and parties with the neighbors in her beloved Western Oaks. She loved and was known for entertaining friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, two sisters, and two sons. Burial will be at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas , 20, 2015 at 10:00 am. Tommy was born , May 20, 1944 in Point, Texas, the son of Cleo Pauleen Plummer. He married Dorothy May Rush on 15, 1968. He graduated from Rains High School. Tommy started driving a tractor at age 4 and he worked picking and hoeing cotton. He later worked for White Advertising and various other companies building billboard signs. He was a member of Dallas Arms Collectors about 45 years, the National Rifle Association and the Texas State Rifle Association. He enjoyed going to gun shows, fishing, reading and watching TV. He also enjoyed hunting in Mexico, Canada, Alaska, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Argentina and all over the United States. Tommy is survived by his wife Dorothy of Sherman; brother Roger Don & wife Shirley Hooten; nephew Nathaniel Hooten; nieces Brook Hooten and Morgan Jerry. He is predeceased by his mother and grandparents. |

Obituary: Patricia (Patty) Rae Stokes Plummer was born 7, 1935 in Camas, WA. As the sun was rising on the morning of 31, 2015 she slipped away peacefully after a short but brave battle with cancer (exactly 1 week shy of her 81st birthday). Her loving family surrounded her as she went to join our Lord. Patty spent most of her youth in Vancouver, WA. She was active early in life as a swimmer, drum majorette, and thespian. Many of her best friends from her youth remain her friends to this day. She graduated from Vancouver High School in 1953 with a 4.0 gpa and then attended Clark Junior where she received her Associate Arts degree. marrying in 1956 she and husband George moved several times with Shell Oil before settling in Conroe, TX in 1973. She jumped right into the River Plantation lifestyle enjoying tennis, golf, bridge and even served in the Volunteer Fire Dept! her 1st career as full-time mother, she went to work for Conroe Independent School District as an aide, substitute teacher and finally as an administrative secretary before retiring in 1995 to travel with George who had retired in 1993. She loved travelling - cruises with her husband, family, and friends, reunion trips with lifelong friends, and plane & road trips throughout the United States. She also loved volunteering in what free time she had with the First Presbyterian Church and other organizations she belonged to throughout the years. Besides actively participating in many sports she was also a passionate spectator and supporter of college swimming, football, baseball and volleyball. She was a fierce competitor (ask anyone who was on the other side of the net or across the card table) but also loved cheering and coaching from the sidelines especially if 1 of her 3 children or grandson was participating. She loved being captain of her jackrabbit tennis team and serving as unofficial team Mother to players of all ages. Patty was a loving woman full of laughter, loyalty and positive energy who loved generously and was in turn loved by so many - friends became family throughout her life. She was the first one with a helping hand to lend, arms to comfort, and wine to share. She loved hostessing endless parties over the years, gathering people from the various circles in which she & George revolved. She will be missed dearly by so many. Patty is survived by her husband of 59 ½ years George, their daughter Lori Plummer; son Anthony & his wife Diana; son Andrew Plummer; grandson Aidan Plummer; brother-in-law James Plummer & wife Arlene (Gresham, OR), brother-in-law Arlie Brown (Milwaukie, OR) and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Jan 16, 2016 at 1 pm at First Presbyterian Church Conroe officiated by Reverend Dr. David Green. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Presbyterian Church of Conroe or to the Rose of Texas Hospice in honor of Patty.
