Obituary: Kathryn Ann Pharr Holeman, age 77, was called home by her Lord and savior 5th, 2017. She was born on 29th, 1940 in Brownfield, TX to Cecil MacRay Pharr and Virginia Irene Huddleston. Kathy married the love of her life Gene Edward Holeman on 15, 1956. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Regina S'Lese Holeman, her sisters Billie Leah Green and Linda Jo Green, and her brother Harold Ray Pharr. Surviving family members include her husband Gene, her daughter Cindy Keys, granddaughters Lindsey and Kelsey Keys, son-in-law Joey Keys, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Kathy was an Accountant, Comptroller and Employment Recruiter during her working years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters and greatly enjoyed the Cousins Reunions, and her monthly luncheons with Junior High Friends. Obituary: Julia Ellen Johnson Pharr Hegi, 96, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on 3. She was born to Cliff and Gertrude Johnson on May 29, 1921 in Post, Texas. Graduating from Texas Tech, she taught elementary children for 28 years in Lubbock. When she encountered former students, they remembered fondly how they loved having her for a teacher. She was a life-long member of First Baptist Church Lubbock, and even in her last months, desired to glorify God in everything by praying for and encouraging others. A gifted pianist, she delighted in playing for others in church, in variety shows at her winter home in Mesa AZ, and at Windsong, where she lived for 16 years. Julia was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and warm friend to all. In fact, most people say she never met a stranger. She loved meeting people, and was always the first to greet a newcomer wherever she was. Many friends at Windsong/Carillon have known her for decades, some 70+ years! With a remarkable will to live life to the fullest, she survived several serious illnesses over the years, always being grateful for each day on this earth. Even on days when she felt bad or was in pain, she always looked on the bright side, saying, Tomorrow will be a better day. She was a wonderful writer and penned many poems & rhymes, some inspirational, some witty, and some just happy! She loved beauty, nature, dancing, decorating, travel and shopping for pretty things! Julia was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Wayne E. Pharr, and second husband Guy Hegi, her daughter, Linda Pharr Keithley, and sister, Mary Lois McNeely. She is survived by her son and his wife, Don and Jill Pharr, of Georgetown, grandsons Bree Clark-Pharr of Austin, Scott Keithley and Mike Keithley, and step-daughter Shelley Hegi Kemp of Lubbock, along with many more extended family members. The family wishes to thank all the caring staff at Carillon/Windsong, her nurses from Calvert and Carillon House, her sweet, attentive caregivers, Hospice of Lubbock, and Becky Taylor. Memorials may be given to Carillon Foundation or cancer charity of your choice. A celebration of Julias life will be held on , 9th at 10:00 a.m. in Neil Chapel at Carillon campus, 1717 Norfolk Ave. Lubbock. Obituary: Marshall Pharr, 84, of Amarillo, died , 29, 2015. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 AM on , 8th at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Stephens and Rev. Scott Willis officiating. are by Schooler , 4100 S. Georgia Amarillo, Texas 79110. Mr. Pharr died , 29, 2015. His body was donated to Texas Tech University Sciences . He was born 11, 1931 in Lubbock, Texas, the son of Judge and Mrs. r Pharr of Lubbock. He graduated from Lubbock High were he attained the Boy Scout Eagle award. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Public Administration. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He married Ann Standifer in Lamesa, Texas on 17, 1955. Mr. Pharr served on active duty as a Naval Intelligence Officer in Morocco, North Africa. Returning from service he was a management intern with the City of Lubbock while studying graduate work. He served as City Manager in Andrews and Plainview, Texas. He was active in Rotary and served as president in both Andrews and Plainview. Moving to Washington D.C., he was Administrative Assistant to Representative Kent Hance. In 1979 he became Manager of Governmental Relations as a Utility Lobbyist for SPS in Washington, D.C., Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. He retired in 1996. Retirement included ranching at Flat Top Ranch in Quitaque, Texas. Marshall and Ann have been blessed with thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mr. Pharr was Vice-President of South Plains Boy Scout Council. He was a member of Texas City Managers Association and President in 1976, a member of Texas Municipal League, member of Texas Municipal Lobbyist Association, Utility Lobbyist Association, member of Plainview Masonic Lodge and Amarillo Khiva Temple, member of TROA, St. Paul United Methodist Church and Friendship School Class. Mr. Pharr was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Lee Pharr. He is survived by his wife, Ann Pharr of Amarillo; a son, Mark Pharr and wife Dee and their three sons and daughter of Round Rock; daughters, Terri Bigham Gill and husband Winfred and their four sons of Canyon, Denise Pharr Lauferswiler and her son and two daughters of Amarillo and Angela Pharr and her two daughters of Amarillo; and a sister, Jewell Dawson of Houston and her three sons.
