Obituary: Helen Pfefferling passed away on , 18th after a brief illness at the age of 92. She described her life as The Best Ever and Full of Fun. Other than being a great wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, her claims to fame were being a founding member of the Stardusters and delivering Meals on Wheels until she was 91. Her positive outlook on life has been an inspiration to her family and friends and we celebrate the time that we had together. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Ed Pfefferling. Obituary: Stephen R. Pfeffer passed to eternal life 18, 2016 after a lengthy and courageous battle with complications from surgery that severely damaged his lungs. Stephen was born 12, 1946 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Margaret and Robert Pfeffer. Stephen is survived by his cherished wife, Janet, devoted step-son Tim Leeth, and step daughter, Leslie Leeth. Stephen is also survived by granddaughters Sara and Rachel Leeth, and his special love, great grandson Harley. Also surviving Stephen are his sister Robbie Carlson and her husband Dave, Brother Peter Pfeffer and numerous nieces and nephews. A unique individual, with a larger than life presence, Stephen entered the Marine Corps and served his country proudly, and throughout his life, lived by the principals of the Corps. A great lover of all sports, Stephen found his career as a salesman of sporting equipment and clothing. His career brought him to Texas and he embraced and loved all things Texan. He liked to say he knew Texas better than most born Texans. The only thing Stephen retained from his home state was his love for the Green Bay Packers and he remained a staunch fan until the end. Stephen met his wife and best friend Janet in Austin and they married 24, 1986. Steve was an Avid golfer and played frequently with a group of very good friends. Steve and Janet loved riding their Harley and rode it around the country for many years. With a taste for traveling, they discovered cruising and enjoyed travelling to exciting places around the world and met many great friends, Stephen truly never met a stranger. Steve retired from his career in sales, he and Janet became consultants for an Out-Placement . Steve specialized in identifying and securing companies for job fairs he organized. He and Janet worked in North Dakota, Illinois, California and Texas, making many new friends in their travels and work. A 32nd degree Mason, Stephen was a member of Riverbend Church and served in their ministry by organizing and presenting Job search workshops for the Riverbend membership. Obituary: Marilyn Jene Pfeffer was born on 2, 1923, in Pontiac, Illinois, to William and Mary Huber. Her birth followed that of her beloved brothers, Dale and Earl. She participated in many activities throughout her school years. The two she held with the most pride were, being an accomplished clarinet player for the Pontiac Township High School marching band and being a member of their track team. She had many dear friends from high school and regularly kept in contact with them. For years she returned to Pontiac to attend their high school reunions and reconnect with these friends. high school, Marilyn moved to Peoria, Illinois to work for Caterpillar, Inc. She married her beloved husband Frank P. Pfeffer on 27, 1943. had three children, Richard, Frances and Bruce whom they loved dearly and were extremely proud of. In 1961 the family moved to Dallas, TX for a job opportunity for Frank. Sadly, Marilyn and her children lost Frank in 1970 and she became the sole supporter of their family. She worked as a payroll clerk for Frigiking in Dallas, and later moved up to Payroll Manager with Triangle Pacific Cabinet Corporation. Her final position before she retired was as the Corporation Payroll Manager with Northern Telecom. Her children applauded all her accomplishments in life and the corporate world. were grateful for her financial support which allowed them to attend college. Along the way Marilyn made many friends whom she treasured and enjoyed being with. Her humor and loving ways made lifelong friendships comfortable and easy. She enjoyed playing her organ, singing, reading and knitting. Most of all she loved entertaining family and friends in her home. Everyone was always welcome there. Marilyn passed away peacefully on 1, 2012. She is survived by her son, Richard Pfeffer; daughter, Fran Kirlin and husband Gary; grandchildren, Julia Hunt and husband Jeremiah, Laura Pfeffer and Brett Kirlin; nieces, Huber, Gaylene Grimes, Charmaine Ilbery, Susan Null and Sandra Aguilera; and nephew David Huber. Marilyn was preceded in death by her dear parents; husband Frank Pfeffer; Franks parents and siblings; son, Bruce Pfeffer; brothers Dale and Earl Huber and their wives, Opal and Olive; and nephew William C. Butch Huber. She was a wonderful, encouraging, loving mother, aunt and grandmother who will be dearly missed. Grandma Puddin as she was tagged by her first grandchild, Julia, extended her love to many of her sons, daughters, and grandchildrens friends. Her memory will be greatly cherished by many extended family members and dear friends. A Memorial Service will be held in the Ted Dickey West funeral home chapel on , 8, 2012 at 2:00 pm. A catered reception for family and friends will follow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to the Alzheimers Association. The family has selected flowers for the service from the Ted Dickey West florist. If you wish to coordinate with their floral arrangement, please contact the funeral home. |

Obituary: Harvey R. Pfannstiel, 82, of New Braunfels, TX, passed away on , 12, 2016 at Kirkwood Manor . He was born to Reno Pfannstiel and Linda (Koch) Pfannstiel in New Braunfels on May 17, 1934. Harvey graduated from New Braunfels High School and went on to join the US Navy. his discharge from the service he went back to school, attending Southwest Texas State and graduating in 1964. He taught 8th grade Social Studies for many years at New Braunfels Middle School and also at the Gary Job Corps for some time. He was an avid reader and enjoyed doing research and writing on various subjects. He loved sports, the outdoors, and farming. He is survived by his wife, Hope Pfannstiel; sons, Jay E. Pfannstiel and wife Jennifer, Matt A. Pfannstiel and wife Selena, and Barry K. Pfannstiel; grandchildren, Haley Pfannstiel, Casey Pfannstiel, Brady Pfannstiel, and Zac Pfannstiel; sisters, Shirley Schwarzlose and Linda Dietert; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Leatrice Dietert.
