Obituary: Douglas Alan Peterman, born 3, 1962 in Framingham, Mass, passed away peacefully Oct 16, 2015. Preceded in death by his father James, mother Constance and brother James Jr. Doug is survived by his brother Daniel and his wife Sharon. Doug grew up mostly in Dallas where he attended Richardson High graduating in 1980. He went on to attend college at what is now Texas State University in San Marcos, TX and went onto UT Texas at Dallas to achieve a BS in communications. He loved dirt bike motorcycles and riding, playing drums often, guitars and music. He explored crafting flutes, jewelry and other odd hobbies. Obituary: Marie Anna (Marion) Kasparek Peterek passed away the evening of 2, 2014. She was 87 years old. Marion was born on 15, 1927 to Alois and Frances Kasparek, and was one of 13 children. Her childhood home was a four room house on a farm near Shiner, Texas, in the Midway Community. As a child growing up in the Depression, she and her siblings worked alongside their parents planting crops, picking cotton and tending to the farm. From these experiences she developed a tremendous work ethic that continued throughout her life. Of all the jobs she had, the last was that of a caregiver, and especially exemplified her kind heart, selflessness and desire to be of service to others. She met Charles J. Peterek upon his return from World War II. On 10, 1947, they were married at St. Anns Catholic Church in Yoakum, TX, and moved to Corpus Christi in 1949. Marion was a great baker, and every Christmas friends and family would look forward to her homemade cookies, strudels, candy and fudge. She also enjoyed crafts, needlepoint, gardening, the Dallas Cowboys, bird watching, the outdoors, playing dominos and cold beer. She was dedicated to her Czech heritage and took pleasure in attending reunions, picnics, Czech fests and listening to polka music. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of St. Pius Catholic Church. Marion was an active member, and volunteered throughout the church and rectory until she was no longer physically able. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 11 siblings. Marion is survived by her brother Clem Kasparek, her son Russell Peterek (Mary), daughter Joyce Pittman (Richard) and two grandchildren, Blaire Burdine (Carson) and Grant Pittman. Visitation will be held from 6 pm - 8 pm, with the Rosary beginning at 7 pm, on , 7, at Seaside in Corpus Christi, TX. A Mass will be held at 10 am on , 8, at St. Pius Catholic Church in Corpus Christi, TX. The burial will be at 4 pm on at the cemetery in Shiner, TX. Her family takes comfort in the fact that she has been reunited with her brothers, sisters and husband Chas. |

Tremont Sr. and Gertrude Rodrigue Tremont, died 10, 2010 at St Marys Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas from complications arising during a prolonged illness. Obituary: In appearance, tall, dark and handsome; in command, quiet, unpretentious, highly patriotic, strong and confident, Major Peter (Pete) Goeders was a Hollywood-picture perfect portrait of a rock-ribbed and dedicated U.S. military officer. As the saying goes--in or out of uniform--he was a sight to see! Possessing a sharp wit and hearty sense of humor, Pete was always a humble and gentle soul even at a young age when men are especially prone to be full of themselves. Pete epitomized the ideal of an officer and a gentleman. Over his twenty-year service in the Army, his career was highlighted by his role as an instructor at Fort Ruckers U.S. Army Aviation of Excellence where he specialized in rotary wing training for medical evacuation. He was also skilled in the use of the hyperbaric chamber for military training and healing. Pete's steadfast manner and easy style always served him well in the military and in life beyond. Peter Anthony Goeders was born 6, 1949, in Mason City, Iowa, the second child and oldest son of Robert and Pat Goeders. The family moved south to Shreveport, Louisiana in the 1950's (later to Bellaire, Texas and then back to Shreveport in 1967) when Pete was a young boy. He grew up there where he played school sports and graduated from C.E. Byrd High School. Pete often reminisced about youthful summers spent visiting his cousins back in Iowa - helping with work on the farms and enjoying hearty meals and lively conversations. In college, Pete was in the U.S. Army R.O.T.C. program. He graduated with a B.S. degree in biology from Northeast Louisiana State University in 1973 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant. Pete had met the love of his life, Lillianne Elledge, while at Northeast and they were married right after graduation. Pete then began his twenty-year career in the U.S. Army where he served honorably as a helicopter pilot at bases around the world from Alaska to Germany and various locations throughout the United States. Pete was an enthusiastic bicyclist (largely begun as a college student without a car - borrowing his little brother's bike for two years in order to ride from the Monroe, Louisiana college campus to work at 7-Eleven and to flight training). Pete loved cycling in the Austin area charity events like the 'Ride for the Roses'. He was an avid gardener and landscaper, ahead of the curve in advocating cultivation of native plants that needed little water to thrive. He had an inquisitive mind and was an avid reader. Pete was a lover of animals, especially lost pets and injured wildlife he encountered. Pete and his family hosted foreign exchange students from Korea and Sweden as well as foster care children. He volunteered at his church and worked with 4-H. Pete is survived by his wife of 43 years Lillianne, his sons Peter Anthony, Jr. (wife Victoria) and Andrew Patrick (wife Melinda), and grandchildren Samuel Jon-Patrick, Olivia Micaela and Nicolas Angel, his sister Carol Petty (spouse Gary), brothers Jack and Tim (wife Sarah), and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Pat Goeders and brother, Anthony. A Celebration of Life Service with Full Military Honors will be held at Bannockburn Baptist Church, 7100 Brodie Lane on , 22, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. Obituary: Agnes T. (nee Lerud) Peteler passed away on 29th, 2015, in Dallas, TX. She was the beloved wife of the late Roland O. Peteler, her husband of 62 years. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law; Debbie and Eric Georgatos, and Carol and Douglas Bohuslavsky, a daughter-in-law, Jeanne (nee ODonnell) Peteler, and her grandchildren, Leslie, Daniel and Jeffrey Georgatos, Brian Peteler, and Helen Bohuslavsky. Agnes was predeceased by her only son, Brian Peteler. Agnes was born on 5th, 1919 in Clifton, Texas, the daughter of Reverend Theodore and Laura (nee Stundahl) Lerud. Her family soon moved to Rembrandt, Iowa, where Agnes grew up. She is survived by one sister, Esther Gilbertson, and numerous nieces and nephews, and their children and grandchildren. Her brother, Reuben Lerud , and sisters, Olga Christianson, and Myrtle Montross predeceased her. Agnes graduated from the Fairview Hospital School of in Minneapolis in 1940 and joined the US Air Corp during WWII - working at an air base in Salt Lake City, Utah. marrying in 1951, she and Roland moved to Schenectady, NY, where she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Ellis Hospital and at doctors offices - taking time off for several years to raise their three children; Debbie, Brian and Carol. Upon arrival in Schenectady, Agnes and Roland joined the Bethany Church (which later became Grace Lutheran Church) and were devoted and industrious members until their move to Dallas in 2012. sang in the church choir during all the years in which they were members, and generously donated their time, talents, and energy to many church and charitable events and causes. Agnes volunteered at the Proctors Theater Gift Shop and at Sunnyview Hospital for many years. She and Roland volunteered at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen regularly. Agnes was a tireless and dedicated volunteer who was up for any task and was always willing to cheerfully lend a hand to any and all who needed one. Agnes will be remembered by the many people whose lives she touched, as being a kind-hearted, giving and loving person, who believed that devotion and service to family, church and community was the standard by which ones life should be guided. |
